I think this is the first time you saw Hikari, right? Well, hope you like how she actually looks! And yeah, she has scales. It actually starts from the base of her wings.

Kokkaku ran, clutching his heavily bleeding forehead while holding an unconscious Hikari who was also bleeding, trying to drag her to where he could feel the largest tremor was, which was the direction of where the remedial was taking place.

Earlier, she lunged at him while he was still frozen, unable to hold her urges anymore. She had her claws sticking out and she swiped at his forehead before she gripped her horns. If it was pain or fear, he didn't know. But it horrified him even more when she broke off one of her horns. He couldn't move. The sickening crack and her peircing scream kept replaying in his mind like a broken record, keeping him still. And after that, she fainted above him from exhaustion and pain, trying to prevent her quirk from getting out of her body.

He could still hear sniffles and sobs coming from her, as well as quiet growls and snarls. He supposed it was Luci trying desperately to free himself from his unconscious vessel.

Then, he heard a loud roar. In slight panic, he turned back to her, only to see her still unconscious on his back. He frowned and gritted his teeth. He was getting paranoid. The sound wasn't even near his ear! Damn, he really needed to get Aizawa to erase her quirk before she gets worse.

The question on his mind was how long will it take for Hikari to revert back? And where was she getting all the killing intent from when they landed? Will Aizawa's erasure even work on her?

Then he felt someone near them. He stopped and immediately shot a bone in the direction of the new presence. His golden eyes glinted with cold amusement at the thought of someone daring to attack him while his companion was out of commission. His gaze was set to kill and he didn't even notice it.

He could smell the scent of burning flesh, and it wasn't pleasant at all. He scrunched his nose in distaste, snapping his golden eyes to icy blue ones in the distance behind a tree where his bone was embedded.

"Stay away." He warned, directing his finger guns towards the villain's direction. He analyzed the villain's appearance but his attention was grabbed by the man's purple scars all over his face as well as the staples holding the skin together.

The villain didn't budge, instead, raised his hand and blue flames covered it instantly.

Kokkaku's instincts flared up. He tightened his grip on Hikari and ran and jumped quickly to the other side just as blue flames covered the area they were in earlier. He landed near a tree and laid Hikari behind it. He was reluctant to leave her there at first, but he didn't exactly want her to get hurt while he fights.

Fuck the orders.

He needs to protect her.

He ran to the area and made sure he was still near the unconscious angel just in case someone decides to take their chance.

He shot more bones at the villain while smoke was still present, taking out his extra spine from his back. Just as the villain ducked, he whipped his spine in his feet and pulled the villain under his feet. Making sure there was no time for him to react, he immediately grabbed the villain's face and turned it to him.

"What are your objectives." He demanded with a stony voice. He summoned a sharp bone from his palm, pointing it to the villain's jugular. He raised a brow in confusion when he received mocking laughter from the villain.

"A brat."

Kokkaku furrowed his brows, pressing the bone deeper, ignoring the silent hiss the villain made. "Why and who?" He urged. He was getting impatient. He needs to get back to Hikari now. She's practically naked and vulnerable if he isn't around her.
