I know I haven't gotten any opinions regarding my digital drawings, but I'll keep posting til one of you says stop. Happy reading!
______________________________________"Hey there, girlie!"
Wait, what?
No, she didn't hear him, only saw him standing in front of her with a KFC paper bag take out on his hand. Was that chicken? And what was the number three hero doing at her home? Without permission from her, nonetheless. And he was even wearing civilian clothes!
Seeing her look of confusion, he opened his mouth to talk but was interrupted when Hikari pointed to her ear and made a stopping motion. He tilted his head at that.
Deaf?
He just nodded and let her go to her room, sensing that she probably won't hear him talk anyways so he simply let her do her thing, waiting on their kitchen.
As she headed to her room to throw her things in and get her hearing aids, her mind flooded with "what the hell" ,"why the hell" and "holy hell". After doing so, she rushed back to the kitchen where she felt his presence at and sat down in front of him. He gave her a look that said, "can I talk now?" to which she answered with a wait motion, tapping the gadget on her ear before trying out a few sounds.
After that, she turned back to him and spoke with a slightly louder voice, startling the winged hero a bit. "Alright, Hawks-san, explain."
The man in question smiled cheekily and dug a hand on the KFC bucket that was full of chickens, giving her one which she happily accepted and ate one himself.
"Your pops decided to call me and entrust you to me for the time being. Look, he even gave me a spare key! Now before you ask how I know him, I'll just say that he's the only one who can keep up with my speed. An incredible feat for a pro hero! No one is able to match my speed but him! We kinda work together from time to time, y'know? Twas fun!"
His one sided conversation reminder her of Endeavor's statement to her.
They really are a bit alike.
"Oh! And I fed your kitties! They keep clawing at my wings, though..." He mumbled, caressing his red wings with such care that she thought it was his own child.
"Specifically the black one."
She stifled a laugh at that and whistled, catching him off guard. Out came her three little angels. Emma was the bubbliest, Norman looked just happy and calm, and contrasting to the other two, Ray shot Hawks one might call a devious smirk and popped his claws to which he shivered at. How can cats even do that? The smirking?
"The orange one is Emma, the white one is Norman, and the one who's clawing at you is Ray. Sorry for his behavior, Hawks-san! He's usually mindful of our visitors and he's only really attached to me, Papa and Eraserhead." She excused the black cat.
"Eraserhead? The underground hero?"
And from that, the night went on with those to chatterboxes babbling, even managing to get the pro hero to ask her some questions about English. It was her most troubling subject, after all. Why not get some help? Bakugo was busy to help Kirishima and was actually quite confident she'd pass the test with flying colors.
Only he worded it differently. It sounded like this:
"You don't even need my help for that, Midget! Quit disturbing me and let me focus on beating the knowledge into Shitty hair's head!"
Unsurprisingly, Hikari had slept through the whole remaining time after she had finished the test the next week, only having a little trouble on English. But whatever, she was sure she'd perfect each and every written tests from the amount of studying she did over the past two weeks and even studying with Hawks. And with Bakugo there with her, he didn't let her slack off even just for a bit.
