Okay Hikari, this is your first day. Don't mess up. Don't hit things with your wings. Stop making those heavenly jokes. And—you know what, no.
I need those jokes. Corny they may seem but I love them.
"Raka-chan! Let's go! We'll be late if you don't hurry up!"
We lived quite close to each other so we just decided to walk together, not unless her soulmate walks her home first.
"Tenshi-chan, you're rockin' that uniform!" She playfully flirted, delivering a mighty wink to me. I just fluttered me eyes and laid my head on her shoulder, playing along. "You know me, love. But I could be rockin' that body too tho-" I just started laughing before I could even complete my sentence as she joined me.
This girl beside me, she could totally steal my coffees and I wouldn't even bat an eye. This girl, is more angelic than me and that is something I could proudly admit.
Our playful banter continued on as we climbed on the bus, not really caring about the sleeping students around us. It eased my nerves completely like I wasn't even nervous to begin with.
Our trip to our classroom was an adventure I must admit. We got lost about three times and I couldn't even count how many times we asked someone about where our class is. Just as we passed Class 1-B, Raka-chan stopped talking and walking, only closing and opening her mouth like a fish as she slowly got red in the face, staring ahead.
I looked up and hey, it's our class! Just as I was about to inform her about this, she suddenly hid behind my wing and might I add, pathetically. I looked at the direction she was staring at before and finally understood.
Broccoli passed the exam.
"Told 'ya he'd pass." I whispered to her as she became even more red. Totally against my will and moral, I strode over to the boy as Raka-chan involuntarily clung to my right wing.
"Broccoli-chan!" I called out, not really knowing his name. "Glad 'ya passed but someone's even more glad that 'ya did, right, Raka-chan?" I smirked as she lightly pinched my waist causing me to flinch. "What are you doing Tenshi-chan?!" I just laughed and pried her off of me to leave her with Broccoli-chan. And almost naturally, the two were already talking, although still both very red in the face.
And once I got inside the room, time froze as I saw my other half mocking Richboi from Mic's explanation. I walked to the back in the corner, avoiding his gaze at all cost but my wings did not grant me that one wish. It was just so large and eye catching...
"Oi, Midget." Me? Did my nickname change?
God, why do you hate me so? Is that why you sent me down here? To punish me from my possible past sins? What did I do to de-
"Midget, I'm talking to 'ya." Keep calm girl, he's intimidating as hell, I know. But you gotta calm down, fuck!
My little pep talk was interrupted once I realized I was back in the hallways, away from the chatting trio, and this time, with him. Did he seriously carry me again without me noticing? Or did he drag me? More importantly, how the hell didn't I notice?!
"Midget, you better listen and you listen good." I just stared at him, trying my best to maintain my blank look and I guess it was working seeing as he already has a vein protruding on his temple. "Oi, 'ya listeni-"
"I hear 'ya Grenada, I hear 'ya. Spit it out or swallow it back." Man, I had balls!
Another vein showed up. Oops.
"I don't care if you're my soulmate or whatever, just know that we're just soulmates, nothing more and nothing less. I'll be at the top with nothing distracting me so I hope I don't crush whatever fantasy you have in that brain of yours." He said that all in one breath which amazed me. Lucky people who don't have asthma...
I smirked and crossed my arms. "Ain't 'ya just a ray of sunshine? 'Course I won't get in your way. You do you and I do me. Just soulmates, nothin' more and nothin' less. Clear." Boy, this was easier than I thought. I expected he would at least yell at me because that seemed his type. I added one more thing. "I have my own dreams too 'ya know. And ain't nobody gon' ruin it. Not even you, dear Grenada." I gave him a shit eating grin, enjoying the obvious look of irritation on his face once he heard the nickname but did nothing to stop me.
And with that I once again walked into the classroom, painting a smile on my face as if nothing were spoken about. I don't wanna worry Raka-chan, this is my business.
And soon, a familiar face showed up, ordering us to change into our PE attire. On the way there, Raka-chan apparently made some good female friends and practically shoved me into them, wanting me to communicate with others. Basically what a mom would do to their child.
"This is Hikari Tenshi!" She forcibly raised my hand and forced them to wave. I simply chuckled at her and greeted them with a grin. "Yaho~, pleasure meetin' ya'll." They smiled and waved back, introducin' themselves one by one. So far, I liked them all, they're all cool. Jirou, yeah, she cool. Then there's the tall and pretty one, Yaoyorozu. She seems polite but I think she still knows how to have fun. Others were perky and real easy to get along with, somethin' I'm really thankful for. If this were a normal high school, the room would be filled with girls just daydreamin' and talkin' 'bout their soulmates and their fantasies of 'em. I mean, it's not that bad but think of it as an everyday talk in your classroom, irritating.
After changin' into our PE attire which was a tracksuit, we were sent to a field that's probably meant for a quirk assessment test.
Oh who am I kidding, it is a quirk assessment test.
"Hey there Angel!"
