"It's alright, love. You did your best. That's what matters. You earned my respect once again. Shh, shh... Your parents are surely proud of you. Cease those tears, love."
Pride was swelling in my heart as she sobbed in my chest once she finished her heartwarming phone call with her parents. But it still stung me when she said that she lost so badly so here I am, comfortin' her in the waiting room.
I continued to rub her head with softest touch I can muster to try to calm her down which was gradually working. Now, she was just sniffling and rubbing her bloodshot eyes. I gave her some space and some much needed water that she gladly accepted with a tired smile. I watched her chug it all down with furrowed eyebrows, worry obvious in my cerulean eyes.
"Are you a'ight now?" I asked with concern, still worried that she might break down once again. She nodded with a more cheerful smile. "Well, at least I don't have to fight you anymore." I smiled at that and had my wing pull her into my body, wrapping my arms on her waist. "You did great, love. You came so far." She closed her eyes and just buried her face on my hair, sighing with content.
After staying with her like that for a while, we went back to our class's watching seats.
She looked at Broccoli-chan before looking at me, indirectly asking for permission with her eyes. I simply nodded and let her go to her soulmate while I go back to Pikachu. Oh, there's Esqueleto too.
"Is she fine now?" Esqueleto asked to which I smiled and nodded at, nudging my head to where she was happily chatting with her soulmate. "Yeah... Look at that bright smile. It's like the match never happened."
It was now Rockhard's match. He's going against someone with very similar qualities like his. Both very manly and both very hard.
Hehe...
Anyway, the two were so equally matched that they both knocked themselves out at the same time, ending with a tie.
Well that was entertaining.
We continued on watching matches as well as Pika's who pathetically lost.
"BAHAHAHAHAHA! NOT ONLY DID 'YA GET YOUR ASS HANDED TO HER, SHE EVEN REJECTED 'YA! BAHAHAHAHAHA!" Esqueleto cried out, tears coming out of his eyes as he tried to calm himself down. "Would 'ya three shut up?!" Oh yeah, did I mention that Grenada's sitting with us?
I just laughed and wiped my tears away, smirking at his irritated face. "C'mon, Grenada! Don't be such a buzzkill." That only earned me a click of his tongue but I didn't pay mind.
Soon enough, it was me vs E-boi.
Before I went down, a rough yet gentle hand stopped me in my tracks. "Don't you dare lose to him. I still need to beat your ass." My soulmate said with a prideful smirk. I just smiled and leaned on his face, closing the distance to only a few centimeters left. I smirked as he gulped and sweated a bit. "Don't worry, love. I won't." With that, I smiled and leaned back, walking down to the back and ignoring our class's stupefied faces and Chako's smirking yet blushing face.
"YOU DAMNED MIDGET! I'LL KILL YOU!"
*TIME SKIP*
From the start, I knew that this was gonna be a harder fight.
Lucifer's almost going out of control once Dark Shadow made his appearance.
Calm down, Lucifer. You can't show yourself here. They'll get scared and Papa will have to come get me. I don't want that. So listen to me, 'kay?
Thankfully, his hunger subsided, surprisingly obedient to me.
"Let's have a good match, Tenshi-san." He called out with a calm voice from the other side of the arena. I smiled and responded with a cheerful 'yeah'.
