Sixth day. Sunday. A break? Not really. Combat training without using quirks was hard. Especially for Hikari who usually used her pieces of equipment she made from her quirk.
She didn't easily lose to Tokoyami, she put up quite a fight actually before she received a sharp kick on the temple and now Tokoyami had to carry an unconscious Hikari on his back. Hawks insisted on carrying her, but Tokoyami only said that since it was his fault, he had to take the consequences. She'd be offended if she heard him say she was the consequences, Tokoyami thought.
If he had to rate his classmates on who would win in only hand to hand combat, he could probably rate Uraraka and Bakugo as the highest, coming in tie. Midoriya as second. Kirishima as third. Himself and Hikari as fourth. Todoroki as fifth or sixth since he mostly used his quirk more. He wasn't sure about Kokkaku but since he mostly relied on his own agility, he could say the bone manipulator was sixth or maybe even fifth. And so on and so forth. For sure, Mineta was the last one.
But if he compared it to fighting with the usage of quirks, Bakugo and Todoroki would be the first. Midoriya as second. Hikari as third. He was probably going to seventh, a simple estimation of his.
He hadn't seen Hikari much in action aside from their hand-to-hand combat earlier. She doesn't use her quirk much for anything other than transforming and her light sword. When she uses her special moves, he wouldn't even be there. He would merely hear the chatters of his classmates. He sweated. If he were to fight Hikari with quirks, he would surely lose in an instant. Not even Dark Shadow could match up to her Devil even if he had a time limit of three minutes.
But if she were to fight against Bakugo or Todoroki with quirks, Tokoyami was sure she'd lose. No offense to her. If she fought either of the two, she'd be blown away considering her smaller frame and well, her wings. Chances she'd win were small, but it'd be larger if they were fighting inside a building, surprisingly. Hikari relied heavily on tricks and surprises. She makes use of the dark very well even more than him.
Hikari's a real nice girl, but something behind that sweetness seemed so bitter. Tokoyami snorted internally. Yeah, Luci's the extra flavor that could wake you up in the morning with his unintelligible screams. Literally.
He thought about it more and realized Kaminari would be fifth. What an actually nice realization. Surprisingly.
"Tsukuyomi-kun, are you done pondering?" Hawks snapped his fingers in front of Tokoyami who was sat in Hikari's bed after he laid her down. Hawks was also sat in her bed, watching her sleep.
"Ah, have I drifted that far away?"
"Yep. Got something on your mind?"
Tokoyami looked down on his lap and sighed, a smile gracing his features.
"Lady Angel is a very strong person. And for one with "villainous" quirks, I aspire to also be as strong, if not, stronger than her."
Hawks hummed and smiled.
"So you treat her as your rival?"
"If you put it that way, then yes."
Must be nice, Hawks thought. A rival, huh. He didn't have that. He'd like to have one of that. At least make his life more interesting.
He watched as the scratch on her temple from Tokoyami's kick heal up and close after a few seconds. She must be close to waking up now. Prior to that thought, she opened her eyes and immediately groaned and grumbled her complaints, making the two sweat drop and deadpan.
"First thing you do after you wake up is complain?" Hawks scolded her, smacking her leg, making her kick him weakly on the stomach.
"Shaddap, oldie."
