Through The Storm's Prologue

“Everyone! Be alert! There’s an aftershock!” one of the medical volunteers screamed.

Everyone panicked at the place and struggled to protect their patients.

Even the ground was shaking, no doctors worried about themselves. They are more worried about their patients.

The nurses are going back and forth with the medical supplies on their hands.

“Doc Ryle!” his junior called. He is with the rescue team and carrying an unconscious man. “He has low blood pressure. There’s a hollow sound on his left chest.”

“What happened to him?”

“Her daughter says their house collapsed. His dad fell while saving her.”

“I suspect he has pneumothorax. You can perform thoracentesis, right?”

“Yes, Doc!”

“Doc Ryle! Doc Ryle! Bad News!” another intern called.

“What bad news? May bago na naman bang severely injured?”

“Oo! Pero. . . ”

“Pero ano?”

“Just follow me!”

Aron Ryle didn’t have another choice but to follow the doctor. The safety of patients comes first.

When they both stopped they saw the rescue teams pulling out someone from a car. The car was flattened because of the pile of stone that fell on them.

“Who is she?”

“She’s a reporter from Dreem City. Ito po ang ID niya oh.”

Aron Ryle accepted the ID that his fellow passed to him. He felt like he experienced his own catastrophe.

Crystal Dwight Villorio

“Dwight?!”

He soon ran to where Dwight was laid down when she was pulled out from that car.

“Doc Ryle! Her head is bleeding. Head injury!”

“Here’s a gauze. It's a skull fracture, don’t apply pleasure directly to the wound.”

He immediately checks his girl’s breathing and it’s rapidly fading out. He stayed calm outside but he knows within him that he is about to lose control of his emotions.

He does the CPR to restore her girl’s circulation but he already made that a few times but he got no response.

“Don’t give up your breath, Dwight,” he cried out.

Breath for me, Xiaoli.
