Crystal Dwight's POV
"Finally, natapos na rin!" Jessi spread out her arms as she releases a deep breath.
"Makakabalik na tayo sa Dreem."
Jessi fetched a puzzled look. "Ala-singko na, Dwight, oh. Hindi ba pwedeng bukas na lang?"
"Bakit hindi rin ba pwedeng ngayon?" I asked her instead of giving her an answer. "One hour lang naman ang byahe pabalik sa Dreem."
Joy inclined closer, observing me with her fierce stares. "You are rushing to go back because you missed someone, no?"
I pushed her elbow. "What are you saying, Joy?"
She hissed. "Don't hide it anymore with us, Dwight. We know already." She giggled.
"What? Anong alam mo na ang ano?"
"You are dating our senior, aren't you?" Jessi asked out of a sudden.
"Jessi, you—"
They both couldn't withdraw themselves from laughing hard.
Sinong senior naman ang tinutukoy nila? I am not even dating someone!
Wait? Something's wrong. Someone already gave me an experience of an unforgettable first date.
"Are you going to deny that to us? Eh, sobrang close niyo na kayang dalawa sa office!"
"Teka. Teka nga. Paano ko masasagot ang mga tanong niyo? Ni hindi ko nga alam kung sino iyang pinag-uusapan niyo."
"It's Rover!" They both blurted out.
"You've been thinking that?"
"How could we not think that much? Can't you tell by the way he laid his eyes on you?"
"I can't tell what?"
"Aigoo, our Rover likes you!"
That made me pause and Jessi's words brought back the day that Rover said the same thing to me.
"You are always beautiful in my eyes because I liked you since the first day I saw you."
He did not bring that up again so I assumed he was not serious about that.
They say, "action speaks louder than words". Rover helped me a lot of times already. He lent a hand when I didn't know what to do with my task. There is even a day that he shared his lunch box with me because I didn't bring mine and I am working overtime.
He was helping me as a friend, wasn't he?
"Tama na nga 'yan. Kunin niyo na ang mga gamit niyo roon. Babalik na tayo sa Dreem."
"Ito na, oh. 'Wag ka ng magalit d'yan, Dwight."
"Bilisan niyo na. Baka maiwan tayo ng bus!"
"Bus? Anong bus, Dwight?"
"Nagkataon na may documentation rin na ginawa rito ang ibang team ng SDG dito. Sasabay na tayo sa kanila pabalik."
"Ayun naman pala. Let's go!"
When we got to where the bus was parked, I saw Rover inside, waving at me. Next to him was Maisy Madeline. I just smiled back at him.
Dahil kasama ko sina Joy at Jessi ay hindi ako lumayo sa kanila. We are together when we got there, therefore we must left the place together.
When the bus departed, most of our colleagues put their headphones on. Others are dozing off. Who wouldn't? We are exhausted from our work. Joy and Jessi were still chatting while we were on our way back.
