Aron Ryle's POV

"I have something to tell you, Tita," I began after Tita Lavianna picked up the call on the other line.

"Ano 'yun, Ryle?" she replied happily. "Nagka-ayos na ba kayo ng anak ko?"

That gave pain to my heart. "Tita, I know you are doing your physical therapy. And this could be. . ."

"Ryle, did something bad happen?" she guessed. Maybe she sense the uncertainty on my tone.

I let out a long breath as I rubbed my temple. "Dwight got into an accident, Tita," I confessed in an a low tone, afraid that she will get mad.

"Ano? Kumusta na siya ngayon? Anong nangyari?

"Tita, don't worry about her. My dad already took good care of her and informed me that she's fine."

I heard her sigh from the other line.

"About her accident, Tita. A stone fell over their car while they were going to Glimm to cover the news of the earthquake."

. ." Her voice was coated with disappointment.

"Tita. . ."

"Ryle, maraming salamat at laging nand'yan ka para sa anak ko," she said. "Kung nariyan lang sana ako ngayon. . ."

"Tita," I interrupted her. "Dwight wanted you to focus on your physical therapy.

"Ryle, iho, alam ko," she assured me. "I am sad that I am not by her side sa mga ganitong oras kaya labis-labis ang pasasalamat ko sa iyo." I could hear her sobbing.

"Tita, don't thank me yet." I let out a bitter smile. "She's still unconscious."

"Ryle. still, thank you for looking up to my daughter for me."

I called her before thee day end when Dwight's accident happened. I know how much she wanted to see Dwight right now but she need to attend her physical therapy. Her doctor found it as a miracle that just happened. And I am beyond happy to heard that news dahil alam kong ibang level ng kasiyahan ang dulot nito kay Dwight. She's been praying for it so long and now it has been granted.

It's been two days but Dwight is still not awake. My dad hired private nurses to monitor her condition.
