Crystal Dwight's POV
The following day, after our long day, Ryle and I were strolling down the street.
"Dad said we don't have any photo of her."
"You really don't have a photo of her?"
He nodded. "You know my mom's temper. She burnt it all."
"Then, how are we going to find her?"
"I don't know where to start either. She and dad met at Quezon City. Their ill-fated romance both began and ended there. She disappeared just like that. Maybe, she don't even know that we are here at Dreem right now."
"I know I don't have the right to say this but she must have her reason that's why she left."
"After dad told me everything, I felt sorry, really. Hindi biro ang pinagdaanan niya. I knew she didn't want to give me up. It's just that life didn't give her a choice. If I have the chance to meet her, I want to tell her that I am her son. I want to tell her that I am already a doctor."
I found myself having nothing to say. Hindi ko alam ang sasabihin ko. Ryle wanted to see her real mother that much. I suddenly thought of my father. I don't even know him. My mother didn't bring him up in our talks. I am already content with my mother. I don't know what happened between them. Ayoko namang halungkatin ito dahil natatakot ako na makakasakit ito sa damdamin ni mama. She doesn't want to talk about it then, so be it. I am used to having no father by my side since I was young. What's the point of looking for him now? He is no different from a stranger to me. If Ryle wanted to find her mother so bad, I felt the other way around. I don't want to be related to that man in any way. I am already living this life and he wasn't part of this since the beginning. Then, so be it. No need to complicate it.
"Love, what's wrong?" Ryle snapped a finger in front of me.
"Huh?" I pulled myself together and smiled. "Oh. Nothing."
"Really? You seemed lost for a moment?" he asked again as if he wasn't convinced with my response.
"It's nothing, really."
Aron Ryle's POV
Now that I am aware of the story at my real mother's side. There's something that drives me to find clues that might lead me to her. It won't be easy but I must give it a try. I know I'll surely regret it if I don't have to do something.
"Manang, do you remember someone who's been taking care of me when I was a child?" I asked while she was preparing dinner. Since I don't have much to do, I helped her wash the vegetables.
"Sir Ryle, hindi niyo naman po kailangan pang tumulong dito sa kusina, eh."
"It's alright. I need to cook for my wife soon anyway."
"Kayo talaga, sir Ryle," she replied, chuckling. "Ang tungkol naman sa nag-alaga sa iyo noong sanggol ka pa lamang, siya ang nagpapasok sa akin dito. Noong malapit na siyang mag-resign ay ako ang ini-recommend niya na pumalit sa kaniya."
"Saan ko kaya siya mahahanap, Manang?"
"Bago siya umalis ay nakausap ko siya, nabanggit niya na babalik na siya sa probinsiya namin, sa Capiz."
"You were from Capiz as well, Manang?"
"Opo, sir Ryle. Bakit po? Nakapunta na rin po ba kayo roon?"
"Yes, I did once when we were in college. My girlfriend took me and my friends to their hometown."
"Taga-roon rin po si Miss Dwight?"
