Crystal Dwight's POV

"Mama? Papa?" A kid in a dilapidated white dress cried, calling for her parents but no one of them appeared. The kid cried even more as the pain in her bleeding heart hurt even more. She felt weak and hopeless. "Ma? Pa?" she wept.

She rubbed her arm on her eyes to get rid of the tears, yet her vision was still blurry. The vague red, yellow and orange hues surrounds her. She could felt that temperature is getting hotter. She then realized that the surrounding was on fire. She began to shake, dreadfully nervous.

"Kid!"  A lady suddenly embrace her, saving her from the coming raging ball of fire.

Napabalikwas ako mula sa pagkakahiga nang magising ako. Ramdam ko ang bilis nang tibok ng aking puso. I could feel the emotion that kid had on my dream. There are bead of sweats pouring down my forehead. I leaned at the headrest of my bed to calm myself.

"What was that?" I wondered. "Who was the woman who saved the kid from the fire?"

Aside from the kid Xiaoli, everyone that appeared on that dream was faceless. I don't have any idea who they are. Even their voice is not that clear, I couldn't recognize them too.

Maraming beses na akong nananaginip nang ganito pero wala namang bago. That kid on tears, hurt and afraid, the surrounding on fire and that lady who was at the scene to save the kid from dying.

Before Ryle appeared on my life, I already saw that kid on my dreams. She was smiling while playing on a swing. There is a guy behind her, a kid too, but he was faceless.

When Ryle began to addressed me as Xiaoli, everything on my dreams turned around. The kid's smile never ever appeared on my dreams again rather I saw her tears, the pain she had.

Isn't it strange that I have dreams like this? Is this even possible?

Today is my first day at work at SDG News. I need to pull myself together and do my very best.

When I reached for my phone, it shows that the clock is around 5 in the morning. Then, I noticed that I already had a message from someone, from Ryle to be specific. But it won't be day for me when I didn't received one. For the past years, he's been like this. Sending me messages so I can see it when I wake up.

"Good morning, Xiaoli!" said on the message with an emoticon smiling widely. Suddenly, I pictured him out on my mind doing the same thing.

"First day mo sa SDG ngayon, jiayou!"

"Sorry, something came up. I can't go and send you to work."

"Be good and don't miss me so much."

I touched my lips when I realized that I was smiling already. Naramdaman ko rin na uminit ang mga pisngi ko sa message niya na, "don't miss me so much."

"What happened?" I replied, wondering about his situation.

"Miss me already, love?"

"Buang. Nagtatanong ako."

"Dad took me out of town."
