Crystal Dwight's POV
Our boss already knows my situation and gave me a break. At first, he only wanted to give me a one month break but Ryle talked to him and insisted on giving me two months!
Yes, 2 months! Ano naman ang gagawin ko sa 2 months na wala akong trabaho?
"Ryle, it's been a couple of weeks since my accident. I am fine now," I argued while we were leaving our company.
He stopped and faced me. He seemed like he don't like that I am arguing at him. I am aware that I couldn't change his mind but still, I want to persuade him. Gusto ko na kasi talagang bumalik sa trabaho. Sayang ang kikitain ko sa mga araw na iyon. Maidaragdag ko pa iyon sa pambayad sa mga gastusin ni mama sa hospital.
"Love," he began in a calm tone. "Don't go back at work yet. Baka hindi pa kaya ng katawan mo."
"Ryle, I am now fine. I know my body, kaya ko na," I countered back.
He shook his head. "Please," he mumbled. "You need to rest your body. Hindi natin alam ang pwedeng mangyari. Saka 2 months lang naman."
"Ryle, 2 months is a long time. I couldn't just sit and do nothing."
His expression changed, not with annoyance but with worries. Mas naging klaro ang pag-aalala sa mga mata niya. "Love, I just wanted you to be well and healthy before you get back to work," he said. "Just with the thought that something bad may happen again, hindi ko kaya Dwight." His voice was shaky and filled with worries.
"Ryle. . ." His words made me tongue-tied. His words never failed to creep into my heart. His thoughts made me love him even more. He is too good to be true, really. Hindi ko maipaliwanag ang sayang nararamdaman na ako ang naging girlfriend niya. He isn't just a beautiful man outside but inside too. He is such a rare man and I am glad that our paths crossed and he made me fall in love with him.
He took me by surprise when hugs me. His sudden move startled me because we were in a public place and a lot of people were watching us. But I couldn't care more about them because this man hugging me right now got all my focus.
"I know your job is important but don't put your life at risk, love," he whispered.
"Hmm, 2 months," I abided, smiling. He let me go and focus his eyes on me. I smiled at him and nodded. "I'll rest for 2 months."
A day with doing nothing felt like eternal for me. I decided to do some stuff that keeps me busy without getting my body tired. I looked for available materials and crafted them into something I love. I do embroidery and creating stuffed cats to kill time. I really love doing them.
Minsan sa isang linggo, dumadalaw ako sa Little Cats Home dahil sa pagkahilig ko sa pusa. I am helping the staffs to take care of the kittens.
Being on leave from work, it does bring me happiness that I've been looking for. Nagagawa ko ang mga bagay na hindi ko nagagawa dati dahil babad ako sa trabaho at wala ng oras para sa mga ito.
Every single day, I've got something new to do. And with that, I haven't notice that a month already passed. Ika nga nila, kapag gusto mo ang ginagawa mo ay hindi mo namamalayan ang bilis ng takbo ng panahon.
With the company of the man I love, my mother and supportive friends, I lived my life positively even though there were some struggles. My mother always reminded me to take good care of myself because I only got one. Ellaine always encourages me to live my life to the fullest, to cherish every moment because that's what really matters. Ellaine and Johnny were on the breakthrough of their careers. Johnny made a name in the industry when the rate of Royal Dreamer's Enterprise experienced rapid growth when he handled it.
