I visited BrewAble Cafe in Alpharetta over Christmas break. It is a coffee shop that employs and trains people with intellectual and developmental disabilities so that they can learn new skills and have meaningful employment. Discussed the idea of bringing them to my school campus with Ms. Justice (Dean of Students) as my school occasionally brings in food trucks to serve students. Bringing them to our campus would be a great opportunity for my school to support their small business and to foster greater inclusion in our community.I was able to schedule BrewAble to bring their coffee carts to campus on February 12. They had four locations around campus to serve upper school students drinks and treats for Valentine's Day!! So excited that I found a way to bring them to campus and increase awareness about people with disabilities to the students at my school. Thanks to Ms. Justice and Ms. Ellis for supporting this idea!
