I was asked to speak at an upper school assembly about my involvement in the community working with organizations that support people with disabilities. I invited Katy Wilson, a Special Olympics athlete in Georgia, to also attend and speak with me! I spoke about my many experiences, including my Gold Award project, and I believe Katy made a real impact when speaking about her journey as a Special Olympics athlete. I am so happy that we were able to share our message with this large group of students!
