Since GiGi's is currently closed, I assisted with a therapy session at the home gym of one of the therapists that volunteers at GiGi's. Without one-on-one therapy, the therapists are worried that some of the kids will not learn to stand and walk properly, so she is holding therapy sessions at her house.
Some of the kids were also fitted with shoes and braces by a specialist. I assisted the therapists by having the parents sign waivers and I disinfected the equipment between each child's session. I learned about the various types of therapy and the equipment used by the therapists during these sessions. Many thanks to Ms. Shepherd and Ms. Lehane for holding these free of charge sessions for the GiGi's families and for letting me help out!
