Participated in virtual therapy session with my project advisor, Mrs. Shepherd, and 2 other therapists that volunteer at GiGi's Playhouse. The therapists helped parents by showing movements that could be used to work with their children on various physical issues the kids are experiencing. Kids ranged from 0-6 years old. One parent only spoke Spanish so I assisted by translating some of her questions. I also volunteered to deliver some equipment to the homes that the therapists suggested for working with the children. I realized from this meeting that it is very difficult for children to get the necessary therapy during the pandemic because it is very hard to explain movements virtually and the families are lacking the needed equipment.
