We had our first club meeting of the year with a large turnout! We went through our presentation that included our mission and all of our activities for the year! I am working on a new initiative this year which is to have a person with disabilities come to our school to speak at our monthly club meetings.
For October, I have put together a grant to have Java Joy bring their food truck and serve iced coffee and speak to club members. For November, I am working on having a paralympic athlete from BlazeSports come to speak to our group.
We have lots of activities this year on the calendar for students. The first activity is the Special Pops tennis tournament and we already have more people signed up this year than last year. Super excited for all of the student involvement!
