During JanTerm at my school, I interned for 3 weeks at the Tommy Nobis Center. Tommy Nobis helps people with disabilities with job training and to find employment. I developed a program called "conNect" that helps young adults who attend programs at Tommy Nobis to maintain social connectedness and and develop social skills. I created a social media plan and launched this new initiative during the internship. At the end of my internship, I presented to Westminster teachers and students and educated them about what I had accomplished during my tenure there. I was also able spread awareness about their mission and educated others about their importance in our community. I received an A+ from Westminster for my internship and praise and appreciation from Tommy Nobis CEO, David Ward, and many other senior employees at the company. Big thanks to my mentors, Liz Pfenning and Meghan Davis!!
