Play Unified partnered with the Tommy Nobis Center's Early Youth Employment Services Program to play basketball with their young adult group (ConNect) at the Westminster Gym. This is the first event that Play Unified had done with Tommy Nobis! I organized this event during my Janterm internship with the Tommy Nobis Center in January 2022 when I launched their ConNect program.
The unemployment rate for adults with intellectual developmental disabilities (IDD) is nearly 70 percent in Georgia. The Tommy Nobis Center educates and trains people with disabilities by providing them with the skills and resources needed to find jobs and achieve career success. More than 25,000 people with disabilities have found career success through their programs.
