The Java Joy coffee cart was brought to the Westminster campus on October 15. Java Joy is a non-profit that provides meaningful employment to people with disabilities. Supporting their business helps to fund year around programs and servies for their Joyrista's (Joy+Barista=Joyrista)

Java Joy provided free iced coffee to the first 100 students, faculty and staff (due to the grant received from the Westminster Civic Engagement Fellows) from their mobile coffee cart. Students lined up to receive the free iced coffee and to purchase mini donuts from the cart.

The event was a great success and with every purchase came a hug from a Java Joy Joyrista! The Westminster community enjoyed the interaction with Java Joy staff. After the event, the Joyristas spoke at the Play Unified meeting about their business and its impact on the community.

The event was so successful that Westminster administration has decided to bring back Java Joy for their annual Alternative Gift Fair in December 2021.
