Five minutes.
Five minutes.
Five minutes too late.
Okay, let me explain my situation and what I'm going on about; My best mate Niall has a girlfriend, she's really lovely and pretty and everything he could ever dream of.
I'm in love with her best friend.
She has beautiful blonde hair and huge brown eyes that you can see just take in the world look by look, taking each day by storm. She's really clever and witty, but also extremely sarcastic. She's amazing and I fell in love with her, although I was only mere minutes too late to tell her. And now she's halfway across the world trying to make up with her ex boyfriend. Who, personally, I think is the biggest idiot in the world. Who would breakup with such a girl?
Such a girl.
Her name, is Reese.
Let me tell you how I met her...
*FLASHBACK*
Her best friend, Katie, was staying round mine and the boys' hotel for the night and had asked if her roommate could stay with her as well. We were all sitting in the lounge, staring at the telly when there was a thump at the door. It sounded like a tree being thrust against it. I stood up and sauntered over to see what it was, as I opened the door there she was. Lying on the floor, her hair sprawled across her face.
"What the hell are you doing?!" Katie shouted, an amused look on her face.
The girl's brown eyes found their way to Katie and she rolled them. "Oohh, just lying here. Appreciating the very slippery floor my trainers slipped on and made me plumet to the ground, bruising my arse as they went... You know, just being casual." She frowned, sitting up. Her choice of words made me smile. She blew a piece of blonde hair out of her face.
"You doofus." Katie stated, helping her up and pulling her inside.
"Guyyyyssss? This is Reese, my roommate slash best friend." Katie smiled, gesturing the slash. I stared at Reese. Her blonde hair falling over her shoulders and her cheeks slightly red from the cold. She had a little shy smile on her face as she looked at us all.
"Hey." said the boys and I in unison, I decided to take her jacket - being the gentleman that I am - and Katie led her into the bedroom that they were going to share.
*FLASHBACK OVER*
Let me just say, she left a lasting impression on me. Those eyes, they just captivated my soul. Also, to be honest, she is pretty fit.
I turned around, looking back at Niall and Katie. Embraced in each others arms, moments away from kissing. God, this hurts.
Katie told me that the reason Reese didn't tell me she was leaving was because she thought she meant nothing to me. How could that be? I've been by her side since the first day I met her. I thought for a minute before walking back up to the happy couple, they were in the middle of a very heartfelt talk when Katie's green eyes stumbled onto mine. They both looked at me with confusion and pity.
Urgh, I hate it when people take pity on me.
"Katie, why did she think she meant nothing to me? I've been by her side from day one." I asked, Katie looked at me with more confusion.
"But Liam, last night Reese was dumped by her boyfriend in the club and she told me she wanted to find you. To talk to you, because she told me that you always made her feel better, and that's what attracted her to you. But you were no where to be found, and then this morning when she wanted to speak with you. She walked past your room and the door was slightly ajar and she saw you talking to Danielle. Reese told me that this Danielle was your girlfriend, she'd seen pictures of you both together a few weeks ago."
My eyebrows furrowed together, she had it all wrong.
"That's why, Liam. "
"But she has it all wrong!" I shouted, getting frustrated that I wasn't there to comfort her. Knowing that she needed me. and I wasn't there... Wow, I never knew my chest could ache this badly.
Katie let go of Niall's hand and placed hers on my shoulders, I looked down into her determined green eyes,
"Don't tell me, tell her." She smiled sadly, placing the locket into my hand. She squeezed my fingers before stroking Niall's shoulder and they walked off, out of the airport and into a taxi.
The last two words that Katie whispered rang through my ears,
"Tell her."
I know what to do, I'm going to London.
