Virginia's POV:

"This is why Mapi hates you." I laughed.

"Excuse me?" Nahikari crossed her arms.

"Umm." I looked at Mapi. 

"Ohh. Trouble in paradise." Lucia smirked. "The young couple contemplates everything. Nahikari is clearly the one in charge."

"We aren't a couple." I turned to her.

"You said that pretty quickly, Vir." Nahi said.

"That's not what I meant."

"I'm gonna head to the field." She left.

I looked at Leila. "What did I say?"

"It's not what you said. It's the way you said it."

"Yeah no need to be so quick with the response, Barry Allen." Lucia said. We all turned to her. "Barry Allen? The Flash? Do all of you old ass grandma's live under a rock?"

Nahi hasn't talked to me since the "We aren't a couple" incident.

Today was her birthday. And I was going to fix it. "Where's Nahi?" I looked at Leila.

"She's rooming with Patri so." She shrugged. "I don't know." I sighed. "You still haven't talked?"

"She won't talk to me." I said. "I've called and it's "talking to Alex call you later" and then she never does. We're right back to where we were." I put my hands in my pockets and leaned closer to Leila. "I was going to ask her to be my girlfriend." I said. "I had a big romantic dinner planned for Valentine's day. Luckily, Lola blanked so I let her use it for Carmen." I shook my head.

I saw Patri walking with Nahi. "Hey." Leila said. "Happy birthday, Nahi."

"Thanks." She looked at me. "Virginia."

"Nahi." I smiled. "Happy birthday."

"Thanks." 

"Hey, Patri. Let's walk all the way over there."

"No I wanna see what happens." Leila glared at her and dragged her away by the hand. 

I shook my head. "Can we talk please? I've been trying."

"I know." She started walking.

"Then why have you been ignoring me?"

"I don't know, Vir. Why have I?"

"Because you'd rather talk to Alex?"

She stopped. "Oh my god!" She turned to me. "You and Alex are seriously pissing me off. Me and you are fine, Alex is a pain in my ass. Me and Alex are fine, you're a pain in my ass. You both need to get over it."

"Over it? Nahi, you called me from your hotel room panicking after talking to this girl. I'm always going to be on edge with her."

"I'm a big girl, Vir. I can handle myself." She started to walk away.
