We back bitches!!!!!!

Enjoy the update that I've been writing since the end of June but just finished today!

March 2025

Alexandra's POV:

"This is progress." The doctor smiled. "Everything is perfect. You are 100% healthy. Where will you be playing this season?"

I sighed. "I won't be playing for the time being." I looked down. "Hockey has been the best part of my life, but also the worst. I think looking ahead towards my future, if I want to have one, it's best if I step away from hockey."

"Retirement?"

"Not completely. Every time a team gives up on me, I spiral and I don't want to relapse. I can't end up back in the hospital. I can't overdose again."

"You're worried you will?"

"If I get on a team and things don't work out?" I shrugged. "I don't know what would happen. But looking at the past, how I've dealt with things like that? I didn't deal with them in healthy ways. I lashed out on people I cared about, drank, turned to drugs. I can't do that again. I won't risk it. I can't lose my sister and she can't lose me."

"So what is next for Alex?"

I sighed. "My sister and I always dreamed of traveling around the world together. With the money I've saved from playing and the money, she saved from working. We're going to do it. We're going to travel the world together. And then when I get back, I'm going to start working at my friend's gym."

May 2025

Nahikari's POV:

"I'm a champion." Virginia smiled.

"You're a dork." I laughed.

"I'm your dork."

"You never let me forget it."

She gasped. "Is that Nahi?" I heard Mariana.

"No?" Virginia said.

"Shut up." Mariana said. She looked at the phone. "Hi, Virginia's MOM." She winked. "I catch on quick. I'm not stupid." She pushed Virginia.

I laughed. "Congratulations champion."

"Thanks. Hard carrying this team on my back." She sighed.

"Who was out for 10 years with a broken leg?"

"And who came back and carried you all to a championship?" She said. "Don't start something you can't finish, Vir. When will we be seeing you?" She asked me.

"Soon hopefully. Now that the season is over."

"We'll have to get together. I feel like I never see you."

"Same here."

"Come play for us in Madrid!"

"Never." I said. "I will NEVER play for any Madrid team."

She would end up joining Real Madrid in 2021.

"Why? We have more fun. Besides, we all know you have more than one reason to come here."

"Mari I swear to God." Virginia started.

"To see your favorite Portuguese girl! Me!"

I laughed. "When you put it that way. I'll sign right now."

"Oh wow, thanks." Vir said. Mariana left and Vir looked at me. "I'll see you in a few days."

"We should tell them. Just get it over with. We've enjoyed it long enough. Besides, Patri texted me last week and asked if it was still a secret. That girl is going to explode soon."

Vir laughed. "Good point. We'll tell them."

Virginia's POV:

The national team was together for the Euros. Nahi and I would be telling everyone that we're dating.

"Ale!" I ran over to her.

"Hey." She looked at me.

"You alright? You seem a little off."

She shrugged. "I'm fine."

"Is it Jenni? Need me to kick her ass?"

She laughed. "No, it's not Jenni. Jenni is amazing." She smiled.

"You know you can tell me right? I was at your wedding."

She nodded. "And you know you can tell me about Nahi, right? I will be at YOUR wedding."

I laughed and nodded. "Wedding. Like I'd ever get married."

"It's not so bad." She looked at me. "I'll be fine." She said. "It's something Jenni and I are dealing with."

"I've been forgotten." I sighed. "Pushed aside for the wife." I laughed. "I'm happy for you. Just remember I'm here when you need me."

"I know."

After we ate dinner, Nahi looked at me. "Go for it."

"Alright." I smiled. "Hey!" Everyone looked at me. "I have some news. So that EVERYONE can get off my ass. I'm in a very serious relationship. I'm happy. She is incredible, insanely smart and very beautiful."

"Is it Nahi?" Mapi smirked.

"Aw, you think I'm beautiful." Nahi looked at her.

"Do you own a mirror?"

"I'm telling Mariana." Patri crossed her arms.

"Go ahead. Mari is almost as gay as I am. She'll say the same thing!"

"I'm texting her." Leila said. "Please hold."

I laughed. "Yes, it is Nahikari. We're dating. We aren't going into details. All we'll say is we are both very happy."

"Exactly. Virginia is surprisingly a great girlfriend." Nahikari said.

"Surprisingly?" I looked at her. "Actually yes I agree."

"Mariana responded." We all looked at Leila. "She said and I quote, "Nahikari does own a mirror right?" so Mapi was correct."

Mapi nodded. "I know my girl."

"And I know mine." I looked at Nahikari. "They took it well." I said.

"They've been pushing us together since the world cup in France. Did you think they'd react badly?" She said.

"Good point." I laughed. "Now they know. They're going to be insanely annoying."

"They already were." Nahi sighed. "It's just going to be worse now."

July 2025

Alexandra's POV:

"Having fun?" Zariah sat next to me.

"I am." I nodded. "Thanks for coming with me."

"We've always wanted to do this. No matter time than you almost dying on me." She smiled.

"You're never going to let me forget that huh?"

"Nope." She tapped the table. "What happens when we go back home?"

"I start working at the gym."

"Beck's?"

"No one else I'd rather work for." I said. "He needed someone and I needed a fresh start."

"Do you think you'll ever play again?"

"Until I can play the way I did before? Any time something went wrong, I fell apart. Right now it's best if I step away. For my health and safety. And for you." I looked at her. "You've always stuck by my side. I'm not the only one who was hurt when mom and dad died. You lost them too. I'm not going to let you lose me."
