Nahikari's POV:
"It's Virginia. Leave a message!" I sighed and hung up.
"Please answer." I mumbled. "Please pick up." I tried to call her again.
Virginia's POV:
I got to the hotel Real Sociedad was staying at and ran inside. I grabbed my phone and called Nahikari. "Come on pick up." I looked around.
"Hello?"
"Nahi! What room are you in?" She told me and I ran to the stairs, not wanting to wait. I got to her floor and looked for the room. "Nahi." I got to the door. There was no one there. I knocked and waited. "Nahi it's me."
The door opened and shut quickly, Nahikari pulling me inside. I wrapped my arms around her. "It's ok." I rubbed her back. "I'm here now. You're ok." I sat her on her bed and looked at her. "Tell me what happened?"
"Alex just," She shook her head. "She started telling me that there are things I don't know about her. That she isn't who I think she is. I told her to tell me, but she said no. That she helps everyone else be happy because she knows she'll never have that. Then she started getting mad and kept calling but hung up when I answered. Then I saw a shadow under my door and,"
I grabbed her hand. "There was no one out there." I said. "I'll guard that door all night if you want."
"Can you just stay with me?"
I smiled and nodded. "I just ran up a lot of stairs. I wasn't going to leave right away." She laughed. I sat on the desk chair and spun around. Laid against the pillows of her bed and looked at me.
"Is Jenni ok?" She asked.
"She will be." I smiled. "Alexia's with her. She's got a good support system."
"Good. We watched the game." She said. "You don't have to stay here. If you have better things to do."
"I'm not going anywhere." I said. "You needed me, I'm here." I leaned back in the chair.
"At least sit with me. That chair isn't comfortable?"
"What do you mean?" I smirked. "This is the best chair I've ever sat on." She laughed. I got up and sat next to her on the bed. "Are you ok now?"
"Yeah." She rested her head on my shoulder. She fell asleep and I just stayed there.
Nahikari's POV:
I woke up and looked around. Virginia was gone and there was a note on the bed.
I wish I could've stayed till you woke up but we have a Champions League match this week. Had to get back and recover before practice tomorrow. You're going to have a great game today and if you need me, just call me. I'll answer.
Vir
I smiled and looked at the window. "Stupid Vir and her stupid face." I laughed and got up.
We headed to the stadium for our game and my mind stay on Virginia for most of warmups.
By the time kick-off came around, I was focused and ready.
You're going to have a great game today
I will.
April 2021
Alexandra's POV:
I looked at the ceiling. "Alex?" I heard Zariah. "You've been locked in your room for 3 weeks. Can you come out? Or at least open the door so I know you're alive."
"I'm alive." I said. "Now go away."
"Not till you tell me what's wrong." I sighed and reached for the bottle next to me. I took a big sip and looked at my lap. "Alex, don't do this. I know this behavior, please. I got you back before, I don't know if I can again. Please."
I looked at my phone. The headlines from the last few weeks flooded my phone.

I got up and started pacing around. "What the hell?" I said to myself.
"Alex?" I heard Zariah. "Did you say something?"
"What the hell!" I yelled and punched the wall.
Virginia's POV:
"You're crazy." Lola laughed. "How's everything with Nahikari?"
"Are you two dating yet?" Carmen asked.
I shook my head. "We're friends." I said. "I don't know if I want a relationship. I'm not really a relationship person. Yeah, I like Nahikari but, me in a relationship? It doesn't mix."
"You're not even going to try?" Lola asked.
"She hasn't said if she wanted a relationship. Maybe in another life." I looked at my phone. "I gotta run. I'm meeting someone." I walked to my car. "I'll see you lovebirds later." I winked and got in my car.
No one's POV:
Virginia got in her car and drove off.
Nahikari sat on her bed typing a message to Virginia.
Alex sat on her floor holding her now bloody hand, a hole in the wall.
Everyone was going through something different.
As Nahikari was about to send the text, she got a notification from Instagram. Virginia's story.
She opened it and saw that Virginia was out with Ona.
Nahikari went back to her messages and deleted everything she typed. Instead, opening her messages with Alex.
Haven't heard from you in a while. Are you ok?
Alex saw her phone light up with the message but ignored it.
"I can't fall for her. She likes Virginia. Virginia likes her. That's how it is."
"And what about you, Alex?"
Riveters to part ways with forward Alexandra Hernandez
"When will you stop thinking that you deserve to be alone?"
Alex reached down and cleared all the notifications on her phone.
"Never."
