March 2021
Virginia's POV:
Portugal is always fun. Some of us were walking around to get our legs moving. I was walking with Nahikari.
"I'm glad we sorted everything out." She said.
"Me too." I smiled. "I like having you to talk to."
"Me too." She laughed.
I stared at her. "No! VIR YOU TOO!" I heard Mapi
"This doesn't concern you!" I yelled back. I looked back at Nahikari. "What are you smiling at?"
"You." She shook her head. "You're crazy." She looked at her phone.
Alex was calling.
"You know she's in love with you, right?"
"She's not." She gently pushed me. "I'll catch up."
"Alright." I sighed and ran up to Mapi.
Nahikari's POV:
"Hey, Alex." I answered.
"You busy?"
"No. What's up?"
"I really need to talk to you."
"What's going on? Are you ok?"
"Umm. You know what? My seasons over. I have to focus on the playoffs. I'll talk to you later, Nahikari. Bye." She hung up.
I looked at my phone. "Everything okay?" Virginia looked at me.
"I don't know."
Alexandra's POV:
I sat at the bar and looked at my phone. We got knocked out of the playoffs. First round.
It sucked.
This season was horrible for me. My mind just isn't clear.
"What can I get you?" The bartender walked over.
"Nothing." I sighed. "I'm all set."
"Look, kid, you either get something, or you leave." He said.
"She'll have what I'm having." A man sat next to me. "On my tab." He looked at me.
"Ok." The bartender got the drink and then walked away.
"I don't want anything." I said.
"That's fine." He put his empty glass in front of me. "But I did." He took the full one. "Look at that. You drank. Now you can stay." He smirked.
I rolled my eyes. "Now I don't want too." I started to get up.
"Ok look." He grabbed my arm. "I'm not trying to hit on you. I can see in your head that you're debating. Just sit. Ok?"
"What are you a therapist or something?"
"Actually," He laughed. "I am." He took his wallet out and gave me a card.
"Antonio Lucas." I read the card. "I don't need a therapist." I put the card down.
"I didn't say you did. Just thought that if you wanted to talk, you'd want someone to listen." He took a sip of the drink. I looked down. "You're fighting a battle in your head, I can see it. Keep going at it alone, you'll eventually lose." He looked at me. "But what do I know." He turned to get up.
"Fine." I said. "Fine."
He nodded and sat back down. "Have you ever gone to therapy?"
"Um, when I was younger they thought it would be good for me." I said. "It didn't."
