Alex's POV:
We landed back in the states. After a fun trip to Europe, it was time to get back to work.
"So what's the deal with you and Nahikari?" Zariah asked.
"I don't know. She said she needs space and she'll get space." I shrugged. "I shouldn't have let her kiss me. I'm stupid."
"I could've told you that." Zariah smirked.
"You're an asshole."
"Yeah but I'm all you got."
Nahikari's POV:
"Ready for qualifiers?" Jenni smiled.
"No." I threw my bag down.
"Uh oh. What's wrong with you?" I glared at her. "Don't get mad at me. I'm trying to help you, kid." She sat down. "Come sit. Talk to mama Jenni."
I sighed and sat next to her. "I like someone." I mumbled.
"Really! That's great! Who is it?"
"It doesn't matter who is it."
"Of course it does." She said. "Unless it's a guy. If that's where this is heading, I'll go get Aitana." She got up.
"Jenni."
"She's our resident straight person."
"Jenni." I closed my eyes. She sat back down. I took a deep breath and looked at her. "My friend Alex? That you all think I'm dating?" She nodded. "We are just friends. She was in France with her sister then came here to visit me. She ran into Virginia when she was going to surprise me, asked her where my house was." I looked straight ahead. "Virginia told her and then Alex came to my house. I kissed her. I kissed Alex. Her and her sister finished their trip. They're back in America now. I told her I needed some space though."
"What's the problem here Nahi?"
"When I met Alex, she asked me on a date. I agreed but couldn't stop thinking about the person I liked the whole time. Alex and I became good friends and she was helping me with that person."
"Who do you like? I can't help you if you don't give me a name."
I looked up at her.
Jenni and Alexia are dating. Alexia and Virginia are friends. If I tell Jenni, she'll tell Alexia and Virginia will eventually know.
Virginia can't know I like her.
"I have to go." I got up and left.
Virginia's POV:
"You don't get it, Lola." I shook my head. A body walked out and crashed into me. "Wow." I grabbed the body. "Nahikari." I said. "You ok?"
"I'm fine." She pushed me away and kept walking.
I watched her leave and turned to Lola. "See? I don't get the happy ending." We walked into Jenni's room.
"What's up with Nahi?" Lola asked laying on the bed.
"No idea. She was telling me Alex and then just freaked out and left."
"Oh what? Their big kiss?" I rolled my eyes.
"How'd you know they kissed?"
"Because I was there." I said. "I was on my way to surprise Nahi when I ran into Alex. They're a thing so I gave her directions to Nahi's house. When I pulled up, Nahi grabbed her and kissed her so I left." I looked down. "Not really a fan of seeing the girl I like kiss someone else." I looked at Jenni.
Jenni looked at Lola. "Vir get the hell out."
"What?"
"GET OUT!" Jenni yelled. She pushed me to the door and slammed it in my face.
Nahikari's POV:
I saw Lola and Vir go into Jenni's room. I turned around and waited.
"What's up with Nahi?" I heard Lola ask.
"No idea. She was telling me Alex and then just freaked out and left." Jenni said.
"Oh what? Their big kiss?" Virginia said.
"How'd you know they kissed?"
"Because I was there." She said. "I was on my way to surprise Nahi when I ran into Alex. They're a thing so I gave her directions to Nahi's house. When I pulled up, Nahi grabbed her and kissed her so I left. Not really a fan of seeing the girl I like kiss someone else."
"Vir get the hell out." Jenni said. I ran down the hallway and disappeared.
I crashed into Mapi. "Slow down there, Garcia." She laughed. "You look like you're gonna throw up." She stopped laughing. "Please don't do that. If you throw up, I'll throw up." I grabbed her hand and dragged her away. "Nahikari!" She pulled back. "Stop. What's going on?"
"Help me." I looked at her. "You have to help me, Mapi. I don't know who else to ask.
"Hey, hey." She nodded. "Calm down. I'll help." She looked around. "Come on. Let's go for a walk."
Alex's POV:
I finished up in the gym and got in my car. I started it and sat there. My phone lit up.
virginiatr6 followed you
I picked up the phone.
I'm not messaging you to be rude or anything. When I gave you the directions, I should've introduced myself. That's my bad. I really care about her. Nahikari. And if she's happy with you then I'm not going to do anything to ruin that for her. I just want her happy. Seeing her smile, hearing that laugh? Be good to her, she's a very special person.
I went to respond to the message but it wouldn't send. I sighed and threw my phone down. "What the hell?" I drove home.
After eating and showering, I called Nahikari. "I got a message from Virginia on Instagram." I told her what it said.
"She saw me kiss you." She said. "She was going to surprise me at my house. She saw everything."
"I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have gone to see you."
"I'm the one who kissed you, Alex." She said.
"She likes you, Nahi." I said and shook my head. "She really likes you. And you like her."
"So what do I do?"
"I'm going to what I do best." I smiled. "Help the two of you get your heads out of your asses and get together."
