Part 28

Jordon pov

" you didn't tell me your mom was coming," I whispered to Mattia as my dad and his mom were talking.

He looked at me, " sorry, she just really wanted to see you," he whispered back, which made me smile down at my bedsheets.

After a while she looked over at me smiling. She stood up and since there wasn't another chair around my bed, Mattia stood up so she could sit down on his. He went over to sit by my dad, and they started to talk.

" how're you doing Jordon?" She asked. She looked up at the beanie I was wearing which was Mattia's, she smiled a little recognising it.

I know it was around the start of April but I always feel cold and because of the chemo my hairs starting to fall out in clumps again.

" I'm doing better," I told her, " what about you? I miss our little gossip sessions, so has anything interesting happened since the last time I was at yours?"

She let out a breath of air and shook her head a little, " you just reminded me." And she sat back, getting comfortable, " you remember Amanda, our neighbour?"

" of course," I said making a face. I listened to her intently telling me about their neighbours crazy antics. She enjoyed telling me about her because I was the only other person who got bad vibes from her as well. Mr Polibio , Mattia and Gian didn't have a problem with her and they said mrs Polibio was bullying her.

" she did what?" I asked, my eyes widening, " but that's...that's just so..."

" I know," mattia mom said whilst nodding understandably, " I've been waiting so long to tell you this, Giacomo doesn't listen to me anymore," she said rolling her eyes and I started to laugh.

" how are mr Polibio and Gian?" I asked.

" they're both well. Giacomo was at work otherwise he would've came and Gian had tutoring so he couldn't make it either," she told me and I nodded.

We heard Mattia laugh and we both turned to look at my dad and him joke about something.

I was surprised to say the least. I never thought I'd see those two get along but I'm not complaining. I'm glad they're on good terms with each other.

" thank you by the way," I said to Mrs Polibio, and she turned to look at me a little confused, " for letting Mattia come over often. I know I must take up a lot of his time from you."

I know he said it was ok, but It's not like he'd ever know how his parents were feeling about him not spending as much time with them. I felt a little guilty for having him with me.

She smiled and held my hands in hers, " trust me Jordon that's not an issue with us at all. We do still see him. If anything I want to thank you," she said and I looked at her curiously, " I've noticed how much happier he is now. Before he met you I could tell he was always a little sad and upset. I don't know what it was, but it looked like he was missing something in his life. Everything changed quite dramatically, and that's only because of you,"

I felt like tearing up and I started to wonder why the hell I became this emotional, because I've been crying a lot lately.

I looked back at mattia to see him still laughing with my dad. Knowing I was one of the things that made him happy meant everything to me. As if he could sense I was looking at him, he turned to look at me. His smiled widened when his eyes locked with mine.

Nowadays I didn't ever have the energy to do anything fun, so on the weeks I was at home the only thing I did was have a ton of movie nights.

Mattia didn't mind. He'd always try to make them all interesting and he always managed to do that.

Tonight ale and Kai decided to join the two of us. We went to the store so we could get a few things to eat. I took my camera hoping to get a few pictures, I haven't taken any in a long while.

" I feel like I haven't seen you in forever," Kai said walking by me. Mattia was on the other side of me, holding my hand and rubbing small circles on the back of it.

" yeah, what kind of friends are you both. You can't even be bothered to visit me at the hospital," I said to them.

They both looked at each other and they looked so scared thinking that I was really offended that they didn't visit me, even though they called and FaceTimed me often.

" we're sorry we just-"

I took a picture of their scared expressions and started to laugh. They both visibly sighed and looked relieved, " relax I'm not mad," I told them both, " I was messing with you,"

We got to the store and as Mattia and ale were looking around, Kai started talking to me, keeping me up with Emma. She was still trying to show off her boyfriend in front of Mattia.

" man I really wanna kill that bitch but I don't think I have the energy to," I said in a bored tone and Kai laughed a little.

"'Yeah I'd run her over with a car but my mom never lets me borrow hers," he said annoyed. Ale and Mattia were looking at us as if we had gone mad.

" we're kidding," I reassured them both.

Kai nodded, " yeah, totally kidding," he said folding his arms. We both looked at each other and laughed a little. I started to take a few more pictures of him, I was daring him to pose in random places around the store.

He sat on the conveyer belt and I took a picture and started to laugh. Though I stopped quickly noticing the cashier wasn't that impressed.

Kai turned around to look at him, " sorry," he mumbled before jumping off.

After we were done buying what we needed, we walked out of the store.I was feeling a little dizzy from walking around.

" you alright?" Mattia asked me, " you're walking a little shakily," he said.

" I'm just a little tired," I told him whilst rubbing my head, " that's all."

" here," he bent down a little, " get on my back," he said to me, " I'll carry you,"

" mattia it's fine," I said waving him off.

" Jordon don't argue with me just get on my back," he said to me so I did. I put my arms around his neck and he lifted me up, holding my legs.

Kai tutted, " great, now you're even higher up than before. How am I supposed to talk to you now?" He asked, making me laugh a little. He looked over at ale and tapped his shoulder," pick me up dude,"

" what? Kai I'm not-"

" why not? I'm not even that heavy." He said folding his arms, " what's the point of having muscles if you can't even give your friends piggy back rides?" He argued with him.

Mattia and I laughed at him trying to persuade ale to give him a piggy back ride. I took a picture of them both arguing. Ale realised kai wasn't going to give up anytime soon so he lifted him up.

Kai looked pretty satisfied with himself when he was on ale's back and he turned to look at me. We carried on talking as ale and Mattia carried us back to my place.

Just so non of you guys get confused. There's like small time skips between the chapters, they're not like one day after the other. Some might be and others might have a few days difference between them, but nothing longer than that.
