Jordon pov
" this dress is alright isn't it?" I asked my dad.
" hmmm...." he looked at it for a little while, " I like it. Baby blue suits you pretty well, and I like the embroidery on it. It's not too long or too short, and you bet that there's a ton of horny boys at this dance that are gonna try and get in-"
" stop, I don't want to hear the end of that sentence." I said putting my hand in his face.
" did it have to show that much of your shoulders?" He asked concerned.
I folded my arms, " yes.I thought it looked pretty good so I bought it, it wasn't that expensive either. But I just want to know if doesn't look too bland for a dance,"
" how would I know?" He asked raising his hands and I groaned loudly.
" wow, thanks for the help dad," i said sarcastically before I went back to my room. I started to brush my short hair and I tried thinking of what I could do with it. My hair was pretty messy and it sat just above my shoulders so it looked a little bit like a birds nest. It was so short and I realised there wasn't anything I could do with it.
" need some help?" Dad asked standing in the middle of my door frame.
I scoffed, " from you? How are you going to fix my hair?" I asked.
He rolled his eyes and made me sit down on a chair. He picked out two bits from either side of my head and started braiding them. He bobby pinned them to the back and I had to admit it looked pretty nice.
" where'd you learn to braid?" I asked him but he shrugged saying he didn't remember. He walked out of the room and I put on a little make up. Just some eyeliner, mascara and lipgloss. That was the most I could do to be honest.
I had a few necklaces so I put on one of them. I wasn't wearing heels, those things were impossible and I wasn't really safe in them. I put on some white pumps that matched with the dress and I heard someone knock on the door, so I assumed Mattia was here.
I picked my Polaroid bag and went downstairs to see dad talking to him.
"...and don't try anything. I swear if I find out that-"
" dad," I groaned and he turned around to look at me," stop,"
Mattia smiled at me when he saw me and he waved, " hey," he said shyly and he tried walking Into the house but dad didn't make it easy for him. He squeezed past him awkwardly, " you look really nice,"
Dad scoffed and folded his arms, " nice?"
Mattia looked at him lost for words and he didn't know what he was supposed to say.
I rolled my eyes at him and turned back to Mattia , " thanks, you don't look too bad yourself," I told him. He looked pretty cute with the turtle neck shirt and blazer, though it was covered by a jacket at the moment. His hair was brushed back nicely, and since I was standing quite close to him I could smell his cologne, which was really nice.
My dad cleared his throat reminding us he was still here which made this whole thing awkward, " we should go," mattia said pointing to the door and I nodded. Dad closed the door behind us and we both sighed in relief.
" your dad still scares the fuck out of me you know," mattia said.
I smiled, " he'd be pretty happy to hear that,"
I covered my shoulders and I tutted. It was a little cold outside," shit, I should've brought a coat or something,"
" you want my jacket?" He offered but I shook my head. We were almost at his school anyway so it didn't matter.
