Marinette sighed as she seated herself. She looked to her arms which were covered in bruises. Then she looked to her Kwami Tikki. The two were in Gotham. With Hawkmoth defeated, they had moved to a place with more chaos, wanting to do the world some good. The plan had all but worked. They were still settling in and had barely spread any positivity whatsoever! She had just gotten into a scrap with a criminal, a small fight going on before she tied him and then quickly departed. A small start on the plan she guessed? She couldn't help but roll her eyes at herself.
Gotham was the place her dad lived. It had been years since they'd gotten in contact and to be honest, she missed him. Each night he would fill her dreams, haunting her with the loving look in his eyes. For her, it was was just a reminder she had been forced to leave.She had known things she never told him. She had stumbled across the batcave, trained herself to use guns and hack, independently learned how to ride a motorcycle. None of her family knew of those things. They were just secrets that she'd failed to forget. Maybe one day.
She looked out her window, spotting a figure. She couldn't help but widen her eyes as her hand started to twitch, aching to open the window and then draw his attention. She blinked twice, pressing her palms together as she made the decision to...
