Exhausted I exited my car, walking to my front door. Before opening the door I collected the mail from the mailbox, a black envelope catching my eye. Stepping inside, I dropped my bag in the hallway and walked into the living room. I sat down on the sofa, putting all the letters next to me except the black one. I examined it, but couldn´t find any adress, not even my own. Curious I opened the envelope getting a folded letter out. Reading it I couldn´t believe my eyes. I was invited to a personal, top secret concert tonight. The winners were chosen randomly and I was lucky enough to get invited. Then I looked at the name of the band performing and I couldn´t be happier. KISS was going to perform! All exhaustion forgotten I got up and started to get ready.
Before leaving the house again, I put on my favourite leatherjacket and grabbed my car keys together with the letter. Excited I drove to the area, parking near the big building. As I entered the place I saw a forming crowd infront of the stage. I walked through the mass of people and got a place near the stage. After waiting a few minutes the concert finally started. The guys walked on stage and the crowd cheered. "Is everybody feeling good?", Paul asked and the crowd cheered even louder. "Alright! Lets rock!", he shouted before they started to play, beginning with Detroit rock city. Even though I really enjoyed it, something seemed wrong. I tried wrapping my head around it, but couldn´t. It wasn´t the costumes or the make up and neither it was the people surrounding me. It was something about the band and the music.
Then the song ended. "So now, we wanna try something new! Something extraordinary!", Paul said before they started to play a song I never heard before. It was kinda catchy and everyone seemed to like it. Then Gene began to sing and it felt like his voice was in my head. It lulled me into a trance and I felt like I was flying. I faintly heard some people whisper about the state some others were in, but I couldn´t care less. I relished in the feeling of softness, hearing screams in the distance. But those didn´t sound like screams of joy, more like screams of fright, terror and pain. A little bit of panic began setting in, but as I heard Genes voice again all that faded away, as I slowly closed my eyes.
Waking up, I looked at a grey wall. I still felt sleepy as I rolled onto my other side, looking into the room. There were other people laying all across the room, seemingly in my age. I heard footsteps coming towards the door so I closed my eyes again, just listening. The door opened with a creek and the footsteps of the person entering echoed of the walls. Then I heard whimpering and screams from three to four people. It sounded like they were dragged out of the room. The door closed with a thud and I looked into the room again. And there were four people missing. Then a moment later there were screams coming from somewhere outside the room. Everyone listened carefully and looked around anxious. Then suddenly the screaming stopped and it was quiet.
The next time someone made their way towards the room, I kept one eye open. Entering the room were Tommy and Eric, covered in blood. When I saw this I felt a little sick but kept quiet. They each took two persons with them, dragging them out of the room by their wrists. Again there was heard screaming before silence took over. That continued until there were only me and four other people left. I didn´t even know how many days went by but it felt like eternity since I got here. Then again there were footsteps coming towards the door. I crawled back into a dark corner when the door opened. This time it was Paul and Tommy walking in. They looked at the four other people in the room and let their eyes wander over me for a second, before taking the other four. Before they left they looked at me, smirking. "Don´t worry darling, you´re gonna be next. Like they say, leave the best for last.", Paul said chuckling.
One of the girls being held by Tommy tried getting out of his grip, scratching him in the process. But he wasn´t bleeding and for a short moment I thought his eyes flashed red. The scratch on his arm disappeared and he took ahold of the girl again. Then they left the room and the terrified screams were heard again. I tried calming my breath and think straight. I knew I hadn´t much time left until they came for me. I searched the room for something to defend myself with and found a stone that was a little loose in the wall. Breaking it out of the wall I held onto it tightly. When I heard them coming I positioned myself next to the door, my hand with the stone high in the air, ready to strike.
