Finally back home I was still enraged about the visit at Eric's. I still couldn't understand why they wanted to live in harmony with humans! They were just puny creatures that existed to serve stronger individuals! Grumbling I made my way to my office, telling the butler Ferguson to send the maid to me immidiately. The fight with Eric had weakend me so it was time to feed. To really feed and not like them to sip on dirty animal blood. The thought alone made me angry, they were a disgrace to our kind. The door opened and the maid walked in, looking scared, making me smile. I loved it when they are scared.

"You send for me my lord?", she asked quietly, not enough courage to look at me. "Yes, come here.", I ordered and she walked closer hesitantly. I grabbed her and held onto her tightly, sinking my fangs into her neck immidiately. She yelped but I couldn't care less when the sweet taste of her blood hit me. Then the memories of the visit to Mensinger castle hit me, anger boiling up in me again. I faintly heard her begging me to stop but I was too consumed by rage, only stopping when I noticed her heartbeat stopping.  "Damnit!", I growled, tossing her body to the floor. "Ferguson!", I shouted, hearing footsteps coming towards the office hurriedly.

A second later the door opened and Ferguson stepped inside bowing before me. "You called my Lord?", he asked and I pointed to the dead body on the floor. "Get rid of the body and then go to the village to get a new maid. I don't care about that whole consent talk, just take one!", I said annoyed and he bowed again, grabbing onto the body to get rid of it.

I was on my way to the market, wanting to buy some fresh fish since father came home with some money for once. When I rounded a corner I nearly got run over by a young boy. "Hey, watch where you're going!", I called after him. He stopped shortly, turning around with fear in his eyes. "The carriage of Lord Simmons is coming here and fast!", he screamed and then ran away. Everyone around me looked scared and immidiately every woman tried to find a hiding spot. Even if it hadn't happened in so long, everyone knew that every time the Lord's carriage came down to the village, a young woman would go missing. A slight fear rose inside me as well and I searched my surroundings for a hiding spot. Every spot that wasn't inside a house was already gone and so I knocked at the first house in sight.

"Please, can I hide until the carriage is gone?", I shouted, while knocking on the door. Noone answered and so I tried a few other houses, but in vain. I froze in my spot when I heard the clatter of horse feet, a moment later seeing the carriage coming around the corner and towards me fast. Still frozen with fear I could just watch as the horses ran past me, when a hand shot out of the open carriage and grabbed my arm, pulling me in. I looked into the face of a servant who had a cloth in his hand. "Please, let me go!", I begged, as he pressed the cloth to my face. "I'm sorry, I can't.", he answered, pressing it harder to my mouth and nose. All I felt was fear when I began getting dizzy, knowing what rumours went around the village about the Lord.

Some said he is a cannibal, eating those that vanished, others said he would use them in any kind of way he liked and there were a lot more going around. Those were the last things running through my head before my eyes rolled into the back of my head and darkness engulfed me.

I woke up startled, sitting up abruptly. I looked around and noticed the luxurious interior and the soft bed I sat on. I was at the castle no doubt. I stood up, stumbling around some and walked to the window. Looking outside I noticed metal bars in front of the window, making me sigh. It wasn't even that far to the ground, but maybe I could squeeze myself through the bars. It was worth a shot. I tried opening the window but it was painted shut and not budging at all. I sighed, deciding to try the door, but that was most likely locked. Trying the doorknob the door was indeed locked. I sighed again, sitting down on the floor in front of the bed and burried my face in my knees. I would never see my family again and probably die here soon.
