"And now the news from our town. Again a young woman was attacked by a local man trying to rob her. The woman told the police that the man was suddenly gone from in front of her and a moment later hung on a garden fence. She didn´t see anyone and it´s still not clear who or what saved the young woman. That wasn´t the first attack like this and the police is still investigating. And now the weather....", I heard on the radio, while driving to work. It was like this a few weeks now. Someone tried to rob or hurt another person, they end up tied up or hung by the collar from some high place until the police arrives. The weird thing was that noone ever saw someone or something that would attack the bad guys.

I kept thinking about the incidents on the rest of the way like always when I heard about another one. They just fascinated me. As soon as I parked my car, I focused on work and kept my thoughts aside. After work I needed to go grocery shopping. I rushed through the store, getting done with it as fast as possible and packed all the bags in my car after paying. On my way home I noticed that the streets were unnormally empty. It seemed like not a single soul was out. And then I saw it. In front of me there were little puddles of red liquid, blood I supposed. It looked like someone or something badly injured crossed the street and vanished into the alley on my side of the street.

Curious as I am, I stopped my car in front of the alley and looked into it, trying to see if someone or something needed my help. I thought I saw something move slightly, so I parked the car and got out of it, walking to the alley. I listened intently for any noise and could hear ragged breathing. "Hello?", I asked quietly. I got no answer, but I heard shuffling and later on a groan. I breathed in deeply, before stepping into the dark alley. "Stop!", I heard a tired but strict voice say and I halted. "I want to help you, are you hurt?", I asked concerned for the persons well being.

I heard them sigh and shift a little. "I´m fine, thank you.", they said but I didn't walk away. "You don't sound like you are. Please I saw the blood on the street, let me help you. Let me drive you to a hospital.", I tried again, walking a step forward. "I said stop! Don't come any closer! Please.", they said and I stopped again.

"Why?", I asked curious and they sighed again. "Noone can see me. It's too dangerous.", they muttered, sounding a little sad. "Why?", I asked again. "I'm sorry, I can't tell you.", they said and shifted a little again. "Can I do something else for you? Please, I want to help!", I said and there was a sigh again. "You can't, just leave please.", they said, groaning afterwards, probably in pain.

Hearing the pain they were in hurt my heart and against their wishes I stepped closer until I could see someone sitting in the corner, curled into a ball. "I said don't come closer!", they groaned. "Sorry, I just want to help. How bad are you hurt?", I asked, knealing in front of them, realising it was a young man.

He looked up at me and I raised a brow surprised. His face was completely white, with a black and orange mask over his eyes that resembled a fox. His brown eyes looked tired and his dark brown curls were dissheveled and sticking together in some places, maybe because of blood in them.

The dark orange jacket with fur on the collar was stained and ripped in some places and he had cuts and gashes all over his body. "What happened to you, you look awfully hurt!?", I asked shocked and he smiled at me a little. "Got into a fight. Isn't as bad as it looks.", he said and I blinked at him. "For me that looks really bad! Come on, let me drive you to the hospital!", I said, stretching a hand out to him.

He looked at me wide eyed and shook his head violently. "No, no hospitals!", he said and I sighed. "Atleast let me take you to my appartement and patch you up as good as possible. Please, I feel bad leaving you like this.", I said and he sighed, taking my hand. "Alright.", he said smiling and I helped him up.
