Luke spoke." I'm pretty sure none of us would be here had you not shown us great acts of kindness prior, it's my honor to fight beside Phoenix Drop."
" The elder human speaks the truth."
" For someone to risk all they had for a village they never knew, we're all in your debt."
" Indeed, especially for Meteli, not just that, but I'm in your debt as a father as well for taking care of Cadenza."
" You allowed my people and I to live within your village, no questions asked, I doubt I could ever live up to that show of kindness, but I can at least try."
" It's our pleasure..."
" Taking on Scaleswind is going to be quite the challenge, let me ask you all how many of you are expected to come out of this alive?"
" What a question to ask."
" I need not say it, but the feeling of fear just increased tenfold between us."
Luke laughed." That's because you kids are just kids, I've been Lord of Pikero village long enough to have been through war before, I'm ready to take down Scaleswind or die trying."
" Well, that's an optimistic way of looking at it."
" Heh, you old coot, you don't got much time left to lose at your age, huh?"
" Hayden."
" Hah! I like your bluntness. You are right, I'd be the first to go down before I let you young ones take a fall, I don't like to see children fall before their elders."
" While I understand this is a very sentimental moment we are trying to cover up with humor." Azura spoke up." I believe our people and guards are waiting for us to address them, if we are ready."
Aphmau was silent for a moment."... I'm ready... I mean, I'm ready to do this."
" Then let's go, we're all on your side, Lord of Phoenix Drop."
" You have shown great kindness to all of us Aphmau, for that you have my sword, and I will stand by your side till my dying breath."
" Alex..." The lord looked at her friend with sadness in her eyes before turning back to the others."... Thank you all again for coming... let's go address everyone down there."

" I am Lord Aphmau of Phoenix Drop, with me are the Noble leaders of the villages and people present here today. Hayden of Meteli, Azura, guard and substitute Lord for Brightport, Boldoph, Alpha of the Wolf Tribe, Alex of the Emerald Fae, and Luke, Lord of Pikero Village. For years we've stood our own ground, but with the formation of the Phoenix Alliance, we stand together as one. This will be the first battle we fight as brothers and sisters, and for that, I want to thank you... I want to thank you all, for being here no matter what, know Phoenix Drop will never forget your bravery this day. The Lords and I have devised a plan of defense, but we also have a plan of attack. We are going to defend the walls as much as possible, even when Alex is keeping them shielded, however, there is a chance that our defense won't last long to Scaleswind, in which case we will switch to offensive tactics, Azura and the head guards of villages will be going through a battle strategy with you tonight, please... when you can, find the means to sleep, Scaleswind along with the aid of O'Khasis will be more than a challenge to fight, but together we can end this reign of fear from their armies!"

" Aphmau." The freckled girl greeted her friend ontop of the wall above the village gates." I still stand by what I've always been saying, even if I may die today, I'll still fight with you until that moment comes... now lets see if we can stop this battle before it even begins."
The two turned towards the Lord of Scaleswind who, once he had their attention, spoke.
" The day has come! Give me my daughter now or I'll come in and find her myself!"
" This is crazy!" Aphmau spoke to the Lord of Scaleswind." If we can't find her after exhausting every resource we have, then what makes you think that you can?"
" Last chance! If you don't hand her over now, this means war!"
Alex spoke up." Think logically! I understand she's your daughter sir, but what reason would we have kidnapping her and keeping her from you? There's nothing Phoenix Drop would gain from all of this aside from an enemy!"
" And that's exactly what you have gained!"
" Zane! Please! I-" Aphmau paused, taking a deep breath." I'll marry you if you just stop this now."
The high priest laughed." Come out of this alive and I'll consider your offer."
There was silence for a moment before the Lord of Scaleswind officially began the battle.
" Charge!"
As soon as the soldiers from Scaleswind and O'Khasis ran towards the village walls, Alex moved her hands in the same motion she always did, forming a green barrier just in front of the town walls before following Aphmau down the ladder and back to the ground in front of the gates before coming to a stop just a little ways away from Brian, with her sword at the ready.
" Brian... what're you-"
Alex turned towards Aphmau as she heard her friend speak, before turning back to the young guard just in time to watch him open up the village gates. She stumbled backward in surprise, but barely had enough time to process what had just happened before Brian ran towards her, quickly knocking her out with the butt of his sword, and as soon as she was unconscious the green barrier disappeared.
A/N: One chapter left in season one. It was very odd writing about Brian's betrayal for me, since I have a causing named Brian... and I have nothing else to say about that... as always I hope someone at least somewhat enjoyed this chapter, please comment if you feel like it, any to all comments make my day, and have a good day!
