This is Still A Chapter

Before Chapter A/N: So basically, for this chapter, it has no connection towards any episode, so I basically just decided to put a nice Hadestown song instead of an Episode for anyone who still wants to watch something...

     " Garroth!?"

     " Garroth? Where'd you go?"

     It took a minute for the two previous lords to recognize each other's voices as both looked around the tree for the same friend.

     " Lord Aphmau!"

     " Alex!" The short woman hugged her friend." I guess you haven't heard, but I'm not a Lord any longer, Levin's took that title."

     " Right! Garroth mentioned that a while ago, I just keep forgetting, it's weird you know? I'm always either fighting Zane for a second at a time, or here."

     " So you get taken here as well? I don't think anyone's mentioned speaking to you, are you taken here alone?... Oh, do you speak with your head guard? Eldrick, I think his name was."

     " Advisor, not guard, and no, I haven't spoken to him, I've just been speaking with Garroth, and now you."

     " Oh, I'm sorry, Garroth hasn't mentioned speaking to you."

     Alex's face looked slightly disappointed, but not surprised." No, I wouldn't imagine he would."

     " Alex..." Aphmau thought for a moment." Can I ask for advice on something I've been going through?"

     " Err... sure Aphmau, what is it?"

     " Well, I'm kind of stuck in a bit of a situation. A love triangle, I think is the right term."

     " Oh, you want romance advice, I don't know how helpful I can be in that field..."

     " You've never taken interest in anyone?"

    The freckled girl looked a bit nervous." Well... no, or yes, depending on how you see your phrasing of the question, but that's beside the point, I've never been in any situation even close to a romance."

     " But you have liked someone in that way." Aphmau's suddenly lit up with an idea." How do you feel about Garroth."

     Alex visibly relaxed, believing that the conversation had been successfully evaded." He's good company, although I recognize I wouldn't be his first choice in companion, after a few hours here we've had quite a lot of nice conversations, mainly stories from our pasts before either of us arrived in Phoenix Drop."

     " Alex," the shorter of the two looked clearly amused." While that's sweet, that's not what I meant by how you feel about him."

     It took a minute for the other girl to fully realize what her friend meant, before her eyes widened and a subtle blush covered her face. Aphmau, we literally just talked about this... Aphmau, we did just talk about this. Does it, perhaps have anything to do with this Love Triangle type situation you're in?"

     " W-what? No! Of course not..."

     " Aphmau," Alex sighed, slightly exasperated." Just because I myself can't lie doesn't mean that I can't tell when others are lying. And I have a feeling that if I answer this question in a certain way, it will affect how you deal with your situation."

     " You're not answering my question."

     " Because I don't want to answer until I get a straight answer from you for my question."

     " I asked first."

     "... you're making this difficult for me."

     " Alex, please, can you just answer it, I admit that if my guess here is correct, I might base my choice on that, but answering this very simple question would make this decision a lot easier for me, and I won't tell a soul."

     " Aphmau, how I feel about Garroth can't govern your choice between him and Laurence, and yes I'm pretty sure I know the two people you're stuck choosing between, I don't want to be the one person stopping you from being with someone who'd make you happy."

     " So you admit it! I had a feeling that there was something between you two!"

     Alex realized her mistake in words just as the bells began ringing again." Wait, Aphmau I swear, I'm not going to let you make your decision based on my wrong choice in words!"

     " Where'd you disappear to a few seconds ago?" Not a moment after Alex had reappeared in the Irene Dimension she and Garroth had both got transported to the tree again." I don't mean to assume I'm the only one who can blip out of there alone, but you've never done it before."

     " Oh yeah, I went to talk with Aphmau, over here."

     " Really!? You spoke with her? What'd she say?"

     Alex's face went pale again." We talked a little about some of her problems, but I don't know if I'm really comfortable explaining more than that."

     She felt a hand on her shoulder." Don't worry about it, if you ever feel comfortable talking about it, I'll be ready to talk."
