Quick A/N: Anything written in this chapter that's entirely italics and is slightly separated from the rest of the chapter is a flashback.

" Alex... Alex, wake up, we're back."

The freckled girl opened her eyes before shakily standing up, clutching her side." What... how did... who... did Zane get away?"

Before any of her questions could be answered, a familiar, friendly tone spoke from behind them.

     " G-Garroth!? Alex!?"

     " Aphmau..."

" Aphm-" Alex went over to greet her friend before stumbling and having to be propped up by Garroth as Aphmau ran over to give both of her friends a hug.

" I missed you both so much! How in the name of Irene did you get out of there!?... Garroth? Alex?" Aphmau looked at the piece of red cloth Garroth was holding in his other hand." Wait... that bandana... that's..."

     " Farewell dear brother."

Within the Irene dimension, things weren't going well for the people from Phoenix Drop, Garroth was down and Alex had been knocked out. Zane held a sword to his brother's neck, and just as the words left his mouth a fourth person joined the fight, blocking the high priest's sword just as he prepared to kill his older brother.

" What!?" He glared at Aaron." How did you get-!?"

Everything in their surroundings began to shatter apart as whatever Aaron held in his hand used some sort of magical power. Seeing what was happening, Garroth quickly reached out and grabbed Alex's arm, pulling her over to where the others were all at just before they got teleported back into the overworld.

Zane continued his evil laughter almost as soon as they returned to the portal outside of Phoenix Drop, and Aaron rushed at the previous High Priest, holding him a foot in the air with anger in his eyes.

     " Come to get revenge?"

" No." Aaron held up something with different magical powers that seemed to frighten even Zane.

     " You'll kill us both!"

     " Good."

There was a flash of blinding light, that came just before an explosion, causing a huge pit to form in the ground.

     " Aphmau... I'm sorry."

The short Hispanic girl sobbed quietly before letting out a cry and continuing to wail as Alex moved cautiously to hug her. A few minutes passed in that clearing before Alex and Garroth, as well as an older Levin, walked Aphmau back to her house.

Later that hour, Alex returned to her own home, which had been overgrown in vines in the fifteen years since she'd last set foot in that building. She quickly lit a fire before sitting down in her old favorite chair, before silently tearing up and eventually quietly crying after everything that had just happened.

A/N: Wow, an even shorter chapter. I am so, so sorry at the recent short chapters, however, I'm almost certain the next chapter will be much longer, due to the fact that there's no longer the Irene Dimension problem and I can go back to writing with a lot more source material. As always I hope someone at least somewhat enjoyed this chapter, please comment if you feel like it, any to all comments make my day, and have a good day!
