" You said you wanted to negotiate?" Blaze asked once all four of them were seated around a table." About what?"
" Surrender," Aphmau replied." Preferably yours."
" Our surrender!?" The other werewolf practically yelled." As if we'd surrender to people like you!"
" People like us?" Alex spoke, her voice staying calm." I'm sorry, I don't quite know what you are trying to infer. It is people like us who are attempting to calmly talk this out rather than capture towns that have nearly nothing to do with the person you have an incorrect grudge for."
" Stand down Ein, let's hear what they have to say."
" Thank you, now I feel like Aphmau needs to explain her side of the story, considering I feel as she was the only one present to witness the whole ordeal, especially considering it's evident neither of you were present, and I was trapped in an alternate dimension at the time."
" Alright, speak, we shall decide your fate afterward."
" Thank you. About three years ago, two of my friends and I got knocked out and turned into Meifwa's by one of their kind, and I and one other got brought to your castle, where I got picked to be the bride for the prince against the will of both of us."
" That much we do know."
" The third member of our group who got changed into a Meifwa was a Shadow Knight, who cared deeply for me. I believe it was a mixture of jealousy and anger that his execution was planned for directly after the wedding that caused the Shadow Knight part of him to overpower the rest of him and kill those in the nearby vicinity."
" I would not trust them," Ein declared." She killed one king, she's just attempting to kill another."
Alex stood up." We are not attempting to kill any king of yours, you invaded our ally's home and we came to negotiate O'khasis's freedom!"
" And why should we trust you?"
" What reason do we have to lie? We came here to speak peacefully, unarmed."
" How are we to believe that? Your friend over there is a Shadow Knight, and you are a magic user, whether or not you carry weapons currently doesn't matter, and you had guards standing outside as we talked."
" Had!? What happened to them?"
" That doesn't matter." Ein turned to his redheaded companion." I say we kill them both now."
" Hold up, you have to recognize that this is completely unwarranted! We haven't made any move to attack you in the slightest."
" You killed our leader, that's reason enough."
Ein got up as well, before lunging across the table, knocking Alex to the ground. The relic holder quickly shoved him back with magic, before pushing back the other two with the same strategy, attempting to keep them both out of the fight.
" I'm not going to fight you."
" Then that will be your death."
Before the werewolf could make another move, a blade appeared through his chest, and he fell to the ground, revealing a familiar face standing behind him.
Alex sighed." Laurence, we were just attempting to clear Aphmau's name, killing one of their leaders isn't going to help her case."
" And? I'm just here to stop threats in the area, why should I care what they think of her?"
Alex frowned." What happened to the Laurence I knew before we went to the Irene Dimension?"
" Things change Alex. Now is there something brief you want to tell me, or can I get on with freeing O'khasis."
" I've been freeing O'khasis, you've been missing. And yes, there is something I'd like to say. We need your help for something. Something I feel Aphmau is best fit to explain. And you should answer to her, I don't recall you officially leaving the Phoenix Drop guard."
" Thank you Alex... Laurence, I understand that these are difficult times, but we do need your help to take down Shad. I have been spending the past few years searching for the Divine Relics in order to do just that, and I believe you are the person best fit to carry the Relic of Kul'Zak."
" Oh, you want my help? I suppose I should be grateful."
" Laurence. Stop. We truly need your help. If my information is correct, you're also working to stop Shad, and this may be our only way."
" Fine. I'll do it, but only to stop Shad."
The freckled girl sighed." Right, now that we've come to a conclusion on that problem... Blaze, my apologies for the interruption, and the death of another one of your leaders... While I understand that this does not help our claim of innocence, I still humbly request your forces leave O'khasis. You have nothing against their people."
" You are correct, and I shall speak with my king about what you said earlier, keeping in mind one of your friends did kill one of our commanders."
" Of course, I hope at least we can leave on somewhat peaceful terms."
" That I can agree to."
A/N: Alright! O'khasis is free, I'm tired, and I also am trying to write this Authors Note very quickly so I can go to sleep. As always I hope someone at least somewhat enjoyed this chapter, please comment if you feel like it, any to all comments make my day, and have a good day!
