Promise ( Season 2 of MCD; Episode 77)

     " Garroth! Alex!"

     The guard looked up." Aphmau, Alex, she got hit."

     Aphmau ran over and knelt next to her friend, quickly using magic to heal her." There, that should do it, how do you feel?"

     " Like I'd never gotten stabbed in the first place, but neither of you had to worry, I'm sure I would've been fine."

     " Fine? It didn't look like that, you were hurting."

     " Well, I was surprised that's all." The freckled girl stood up." Zane looked like he was going to attack Garroth, so when I went to block any attempted strike, he went to attack me instead. Thankfully my armor took most of the blow but still."

     " At least you're healed now."

     " As much as I appreciate it, time is beginning to pass in the Irene Dimension, both of us have noticed it, even if it is just a split second, that's quite a lot of time at home, I managed to calculate that a second where we are is a little over six days back at home. Every second that passes reminds me of how long it will have been since even you last saw us."

     " I know, don't worry, it's only been a few months in the over world. We're still looking for answers and I honestly think we're really close. Just hang on and I promise we'll get you out of the Irene dimension before your fight with Zane continues, you won't be alone to face him."

     The bells began ringing again.

     " No!"

     " Well I suppose that's our cue. Give your guards my best, they better be taking care of you."

     " I will, and don't worry, we are coming for you, I promise."

     " Do I look worried?"

     " I wouldn't worry about us, time isn't affecting us nearly as much as it's affecting you, take as long as you need to get us out, just don't forget about us entirely."

     " I won't."

     " It hasn't even been a year yet, I wouldn't worry about returning to the overworld any time soon."

     " I know, but Aphmau said they were getting close to figuring it out, and-"

     " And once we get let out so will Zane, I've had the same worries. At least for now places such as Scaleswind know not to trust his deception, and hopefully the others will have a plan to capture him once the portal opens. Plus now we won't have to worry about Lillian any longer."

     " Speaking of Lillian, how did all of you figure out she was working with Zane? I mean, I'm assuming you didn't just find out before we left, seeing as you didn't seem surprised about the fact she was in the woods with Zane and I."

     " We knew. Aphmau, Aaron, the mysterious guy who went into the Irene Dimension with the rest of us, and I had been suspicious of her already when we witnessed her speaking with Lady Katelyn, and her words were not kind towards Katelyn nor Phoenix Drop."

     " And before then?"

     " Before then Aaron had found out about her sneaking away, and had warned Aphmau about it..." Alex hesitated for a moment." When you were going through your... issues, I was a bit worried for you, so I'd gone to make sure you were alright, before Lillian arrived. She seemed to have been helping you out, so I'd gone to thank her, when I heard her speaking in a way I was a bit suspicious of."

     " So you knew everything that was going on?"

     "... Yes, I'm sorry I didn't speak sooner, I just wanted to wait for solid proof behind my accusations, and besides, if she was helping you out, I didn't want my accusations to be false and end up doing more harm then good."

     " Thank you, but you didn't have to do that, I would've been alright on my own, besides, had you intergected we may have been able to avoid this entire situation."

     " Yeah... but it's to late for that now, I was to slow to realize what I should've done."

A/N: Welp... shortest chapter of the book so far, if I'm remembering the words per chapter correctly. The next chapter should be when they leave the Irene Dimension, and after that there's only a bit more to season two and season three before I'm stuck writing the remainder of Minecraft Diaries myself... as always I hope someone at least somewhat enjoyed this chapter, please comment if you feel like it, any to all comments make my day, and have a good day!
