Alex stared at the horizon for a second before turning back to the others." This speeds things up by quite a lot. We're going to need to take O'khasis back by the end of the week."
" O'khasis can wait," Aphmau interjected." If Shad is back which he appears to be, we need to take care of him first."
" Aphmau, I don't mean to disrespect your opinion, but if we're going to take on Shad, we're going to need Allies. There's the Phoenix Alliance, but that's a long way away, meaning we're going to have to wait for their help to arrive anyways... Now that that's agreed upon, Travis, I need you to head to Brightport, ask the Dragon Hord for help."
Enki's descendent nodded, before heading towards the gates.
" Katelyn, head to the Phoenix Alliance capital and ask the same from them. We'll need allies in this fight. As soon as word gets back from those two places, we'll take O'khasis back."
Nearly everyone nodded, before heading off in different directions, only Aphmau lingering behind.
" Alex, we can't just put this threat off like it's nothing! This is Shad we're talking about, and while O'khasis is important, this is more important. As your Lord-"
" Yes, as my Lord, and especially as Lady Irene, you can overrule any decision I make, but as my Lord it is also your job to hear what I have to say."
" Go ahead."
" Aphmau, I was a Lord at some point as well, and Ara, the Divine Warrior I carry the relic of, was second in command to Irene, and was Lord over my people for most of her life, assisting the Lords of many other Villages in that time. What I learned during my time as Lord was that it was a Lords job to be there for your people. I never left Byd Diogelwch Gwyrdd until my people did."
She shifted uncomfortably, attempting to avoid looking her friend in the eye, before continuing.
" You've been gone from Phoenix Drop for years, and I tried my best to help you there, but when you were gone and I was still here, I tried my best to be there for the people I swore on multiple occasions to protect. At the moment, we're just one town against Shad's army. What I feel is best for the people, is back up. We only made it through the first attack on Phoenix Drop, before the Irene Dimension, because we had allies to back us up... just think on that for a moment. If you're going to attempt to take on Shad right now, I can't stop you, but know I'll be here to help Phoenix Drop."
The freckled girl walked back into the Guard tower.

" Before I begin, I'd like to thank the Dragon Hord, and our allies from the Phoenix Alliance for coming to help us save O'khasis from our newest threat. While I am certain you all have villages to protect, due to the recent update on Shad, and the reason I asked for only part of your troops, we will have to be together in this fight. Half of Phoenix Drop's guards will be staying here for that reason as well, as well as Dante and Lucinda to help protect the town, and Emmalyn will be staying here as well, with another resident of Phoenix Drop, Chad, to do as much research as they can on the Shad situation."
Alex gestured across the table towards the two as she said that.
" The rest of our forces will be coming with us to O'khasis. The army we're taking will be led by Lady Katelyn, as well as the Lords gathered here today. While Travis, Garroth, and I will be sneaking towards where we believe the werewolf in charge of the invasion will be."
" And what about Lord Aphmau?"
The relic holder looked down at her hands, but before she could speak, someone else answered the question.
" I will be accompanying those who are going to speak with the werewolf in charge of the occupation."
Alex gave her friend a grateful look." We'll leave now then, separate into your assigned groups."

" This is it... Garroth, Travis, stay here and fight off any wolves who come this way."
" What about you two?"
" That's up to how the werewolves decide to act. If they attack automatically, we can both fight. If they assume it's a surrender, we can talk it out. At this point they will probably at least assume you're a guard Garroth, and if we take any guards with us, that automatically stops the second option from happening."
" Alright, just try and stay safe."
" I always try my best." Alex gave the blonde a quick kiss on the cheek before she and Aphmau continued down the hallway.
" So... what's going on between you and Garroth?"
The freckled girl's face lit up with red." I'll talk about it later, although, honestly, I'm not sure. Let's just take care of the problem at hand first."
" I agree." Aphmau lightly pushed the door open.
Alex was the first to speak when she saw the two werewolves inside, only one of which she recognized." Hello, I hope you don't mind my friend and me allowing ourselves in..." She turned to the werewolf with a stripe of blue hair." I don't think I know you."
" This is Ein," Blaze introduced." But I suppose the best question to ask is why you brought the monster who killed our king here."
" I am just here to negotiate," Aphmau spoke calmly." We mean no harm, we simply want to talk."
