Call to Arms ( Season 1 of MCD; Episode 95)

     " Aphmau has issued a call to arms."

     " What? When did she do this?"

     " Just now Garroth, given our situation we have to make the call now."

     " I understand."

     Dante spoke up." Laurence, shouldn't Garroth be holding this meeting?"

     " Garroth, do you wish to speak?"

     " No, you have been active in the last couple of days more then I have, use this as an opportunity to bring me up to date."

     " Are you aware of what's going on with O'Khasis?"

     " It's been the talk of the town, of course I know."

     Laurence looked slightly confused." I thought you would be more..."

     " More what?"

     Alex spoke up." It's understandable, everyone's been through their own stuff recently and Garroth's been sick, so let's not get caught on the fact someones feelings towards this whole ordeal are different from our own."

     " Are you still sick Garroth?"

     The guard stayed silent.

     " So a call to arms of the Phoenix Alliance? You realize it will take some time for them, a few days to get here?"

     " Hence why we need to send out messangers now."

     " Who do we send?"

     " For the wolf tribe," Laurence began." I was thinking Logan."

     " If she's not busy, Lucinda would be our best bet for Pikero village."

     " I can have Raven fly a message to Bright Port."

     " That's right!"

     " That's brilliant! Why don't we have Raven dilliver all the messages?"

     " Raven can only fly so fast, deligating more then one task to him isn't something we can afford to mess up."

     Alex spoke up again." And then I assum we'd send Cadenza to Meteli?"

    " Correct."

     Brian spoke for the first time that meeting." Uhh... shouldn't we go ourselves as guards?"

     " We need every guard at arms in the village incase there is an attack."

     " I agree."

     " Then it's settled, we'll head to our respective messangers and tell them of their task, this meeting is dismissed."

     "... I don't understand, why is she-"

     " So tell me Katelyn, what exactly have you been doing here this whole time?"

     " I've been standing my guard just like I was commanded to."

      Lillian spoke again." Hmm... you're a woman of great power."

     " My thanks, as to you as well Lillian."

     " Only difference is, I'm a woman of greater power." Lillian pulled out her weapon and held it up to the blue-haired womans throat." Katelyn... Zane mentioned that you failed to report that Nichole was here in Phoenix Drop. Tell me, why is that?"

     Alex instinctively moved her hand towards her dagger, before remembering in order to make any affect on the situation, she'd have to give up her cover in her home dimension.

     " I did not see her, my job was to check up on the Lord of Phoenix Drop, Nichole would've been a good way to win Zane's favor, so if I knew she was here, why would I pass an opportunity up like that?"

     " Unflinching as ever Katelyn, you members of the Jury of Nine never fail to impress me."

     " We don't need to impress a woman like you."

     "... Fine, I'll make sure Zane knows you've been wasting time here. Until then, Phoeinx Drop is under your patrol, my job here is done."

     " Lillian." Katelyn moved so quickly it took those watching from the shadows a moment to register what had just happened." Next time you threaten me, I won't miss."

     " Heh, duely noted."

     The two parted ways.

     " I don't think we should be letting her... what do you think?"

      Aphmau's question was clearly directed towards the mysterious man next to her, but it was a different voice who responded.

     " We have to try and catch her, split up to cover more ground, this is a pretty small town so hopefully a three person search party will be enough."

     " Alex, where did you-?"

     " Other dimension, I'll explain everything later... maybe."

     " She could be anywhere by now!" Aphmau sighed." We lost her. What do we do?"

     " We know one of the people we have to look out for, rest for now. I'll be on watch."

     " Alright... and thank you, for everything... goodnight... Alex, could I ask you about why you were watching Lillian and Katelyn?"

     " I understand why you're wondering what I was doing there." The freckled girl took a seat at her friends table." If you remember, a little while ago I told you and Laurence about some suspicions I had?"

     " So that suspicion was on Lillian?"

     " And I was right. A night or so after she arrived in town I was taking a walk when I overheard her talking to someone, now I'm no expert on social interactions, but what she was saying didn't exactly sound right to me, so I went back the next night and the same thing happened, and after that it kind of became a nightly thing. So tonight, when I started keeping an eye on her, it led me to the docks, where I found out you and your mysterious friend also spotted her."

      " If you don't mind my asking, how'd you come across her odd activities?"

      Alex thought for a minute." Well... I'm not sure if I'm currently ready to explain why I was where I was, it's nothing threatening, I assure you... I just have my own personal reasons I'd rather keep private for the time being."

     " I understand, but hopefully one day, after all of this craziness with Scaleswind and Zane is over, you'll be comfortable talking about it?"

     " Maybe, but I won't say anything for sure, at any rate, I'll see you tomorrow Aphmau, and so long as the Lord of Scaleswind keeps his bargin, we should still be safe tomorrow."
