I Have to Know ( Season 3 of MCD; Episode 19)

     " I see... So you believe the Shadow Knights are looking for Alina?"

     " We can't take that chance," Garroth said quickly.

     " I'm sorry Hyria, I didn't know where else to take them..."

     " Don't worry, Alina and Lilith can stay with me for as long as you'd like."

     Aphmau sighed in relief." Thank you so much Hyria, I know it's an inconvenience, but..."

     " Aphmau," The witch cut off her old friend." You could never inconvenience me. I'm sure that the girls and I will have a wonderful-"

      The sound of something crashing came from somewhere else in the house, as well as a soft 'Oh no!' from one of the children.

     " Don't worry," Hyria assured the others." I didn't like that vase anyway."

     " If you ladies will excuse me, I will go check on Alina and Lilith before they decide to inadvertently destroy the whole house."

     Alex got up as well." And I'll go see what I can do about that vase, in case you decide you actually do like it."

     " Are you sure about this, my lady? I still think Alex and I should go with you."

     " I need you to both watch over the girls. Not only that but Phoenix Drop is close by, should either of you be needed there, I trust you can make it."

      " But Shad! Zane! The Shadow Knights! They're still out there, with everything that's happened to Pikero..."

     " I have to do this. The people need me, I cannot take Alina and Lilith with me, they could be put in serious danger, I need you here for them... for me... you both have relic's to defend everyone, you are those girls' last line of defense."

     " But-"

     " She's right." Alex spoke up." The two main things that need protecting are over here, Alina and Lilith, and Phoenix Drop. Those will need more protection than Aphmau will, especially since Phoenix Drop can't move about if it's in danger. We're needed here."

     " I understand... very well." He looked Aphmau in the eye." Alex and I will stay here and safeguard Alina and Lilith, when we know it's safe here, we'll head to Phoenix Drop and make sure everyone is safe."

     " Thank you, both of you."

     " It is dangerous to travel alone," Hyria pointed out." Take this."

     She handed Aphmau an Amulet.

     " Oh... Hyria... You've already given me this Armor, I can't-"

     " You can, and you will."

     " But it looks so special, I-"

     " It's a communicator."

     " Oh... Oh!" Aphmau laughed nervously." Communicator, I knew that!"

     " It doesn't matter where you are, as long as you hold onto this amulet, we'll be able to reach each other."

     " Thank you Hyria, you've done so much for me..."

     " You're welcome, I'd be disappointed in myself if I hadn't."

     Aphmau giggled." By the way, I mean not to pry, but these clothes, I hadn't thought of you the type to keep such... Armor... around, why do you have these?"

     " You know I wasn't always old! I had my fair share of stylish clothes in my day, I'll have you know!"

     Garroth raised an eyebrow." You wore that? When did you age, aren't you like over nine-hundred-" he got cut off by a glare." I-I'll shut up now."

     " Smart boy."

     Garroth cleared his throat." Now, if you need anything, anything at all, don't hesitate to contact us with your amulet. Alex and I can be right by your side in a moments notice."

     " Thank you Garroth, Alex."

     " Good luck Aphmau."

     " You too... I know it won't be easy to take care of both Alina and Lilith while I'm gone."

     " Don't remind me... I'll do my best to survive."

     Alex smiled." And if worst comes to worst, I can just form a box around them until they calm down."

     Aphmau smiled back at her friend." Don't worry, I have complete faith in both of you."
