Annus turned around in the chair when he heard a soft knock on the door. Unus let himself in, carefully closing it behind him. »Hey, have you seen Dark anywhere?«
   »No, why?«
His buddy shrugged. »I'm calmer when I know where he is. He's kinda like a spider.« He huffed a short laugh. »What are you doing?«

Annus looked back at the screen. »I was just thinking about the channel. Kinda got lost in thought, actually.«
Unus dragged a chair over, looking at the paused video. »It's weird to see Mark and Ethan interact so casually, with everything that's going on.«
Annus nodded his head in agreement. »They aren't even aware of what we're going through.« He reached into his suit. »By the way, you should see this. I picked it up after your fight with Dark.« He fished the broken wristband out of his suits pocket.

Unus's eyes became big. »So that's why he was able to do the glitch thing,« he whispered.
Annus shrugged. »For all I know, he could prepare his next strike right now.«
Unus sighed. »I wish Marvin was here.« The man in the white suit put his hand on his friends shoulder. »We got this. All we have to do is stay weary. Sleep in shifts. Keep an eye on Dark. So he won't be able to prepare any surprises.«

Unus took the black band out of his hand, letting it wander through  his fingers. He lifted it up like a dead snake, letting it dangle in front of his face. »What do we know about Dark, anyway? He looks like Mark, but he's not a part of his conscience like you, right? He's more like some kind of Reverse Flash«
»I don't think so. But I feel some kind of twisted connection to him. You know how sometimes when you're sick, it feels like the cold is coming from inside you? That's how it feels like.« He shivered. »His voice creeps me out. It feels familiar in a way? As if I'd have known it for a long time.«

Unus thought for a moment. »Marvin said something about a huge get together at Marks mansion. The night Celine vanished. Dark had been there as well. So you know him since then, if not for longer.«

»I barely remember the mansion,« Annus admitted. »It was a cold and empty place most of the time. I remember a sensation, like falling down.« Annus shook his head. »But that's it.«
»Well figure it out when the time comes.«

The rational part of Annus's brain agreed with what Unus said. There was nothing gained in driving himself crazy like that. Still, a small fraction of him kept thinking about the mansion long after the sun had set.
