The night that Lord Voldemort met his downfall, Peter Pettigrew was captured by Remus Lupin & Sirius Black.

Sirius, who is now 'Lord Black', blood adopted Harry and gave him a new name, Rigel Regulus Black.

Sirius was never close to his family and was fully with the light side, but when he decided to start being close to them, he got the biggest shock of his life when Narcissa & Lucius told him what the dark lord actually stands for.

Lord Voldemort was not what the light believed him to be. First of all, he was NOT a snake-like man at all. Second, he was not a murdering lunatic without a soul or mind. He had a very sane mind & soul, thank you very much. He wasn't hating on muggleborns, merely wanting to put muggleborns in pureblood or halfblood families so that they could understand wizarding traditions from a young age instead of changing their traditions into muggle ones.

After that talk, Sirius became neutral, though he leaned more on the dark when he realized that Dumbledore was a manipulative old bastard. Which also explained why he cut all ties with him and the 100% light families.

Rigel grew up in Black Manor with Sirius and Remus who were now married.

Life was fine for the three. They were the perfect Pureblood family. They had the grace, money, looks, and everything.
