Chapter Sixty-Two: Last Dance

"Oh, Avy!" She said as I looked at her and it was Lady Miary who is looking at me puzzled as she puts her hand on my shoulder and hand. "Is there a problem?" She added,

"It's nothing," I said as we dance as I smiled at her kaya ngumiti na lang din siya as we enjoy the dance.

"Now, let's proceed to the last dance which the last exchanging of partners. She/He may be your lover, friend, or who you will befriend that you can rely on in your hardships or in your needs with the help of spell that will be cast on before the bell rings," The speaker said, 

"Is that even true?" Ani ni Miary habang nakatingin sa akin na naweweirduhan sa pakulo ng event na 'to.

"Maybe?" I said as I giggled since her expression is funny kaya tinaasan niya ako ng kilay kung bakit ako natatawa.

"Geez, I want to get out of here, already," She said as I turn her around and catch her.

I chuckled because she doesn't really like to attend this kind of event, " Be patient since this is the last part," I said, "Yes but it feels like it's been ages," Ani niya na hindi na siya natutuwa.

I laughed at her since she really was eager to get out of here so as I am but I need to do my job as an escort, "Smile, Lady Collins since you look more beautiful," I said as I smiled at her as she blushed but looks away immediately as she told me, "Of course, I am beautiful. Nothing is new about it," 

"Yes, yes," I said I heard the caster chants the spell before the lights-off, and at the same time, the bell rings. *TING!* I let go of her hand after I told her to be careful since it's too dark.

Ilang segundo ang nakalipas at may humawak sa kamay ko na kasabay ng pag liwanag ng paligid. Pareho kaming nagulat matapos namin makita ang isa't-isa kaya napabitaw kaming pareho at napaatras. 

"P, Prince Hanz? Ho, How?" Ani ko habang nakatingin kay Hanz na seryoso ang tingin sa akin. He is wearing a white suit with a golden lining on it. "Tsk, this is ridiculous when I just follow the light and I was hoping that it was a lady," He said as he looks at me with regret on his face. Nani?! What happens to the Hanz that I know?! He was like a sweet back then! Kaya napanganga ako sa sinabi niya dahil hindi ko inaasahan na magiging katulad niya si Renz.

"I, Is that so? Sorry, I am not a woman," I said as I forcefully smiled at him but more importantly, I hope he didn't notice me since I heard that he was learning healing magic so basically he will know it.

"Now that you have found your last partner then you have to dance. I can see some quiet a pair but still no exception if you are both men or women. Enjoy the rest of the event!" The speaker said as started the music. Napatingin naman ako kay Hanz na wala na sa mood na nakatingin sa nagsalita as he looked at me with an uninterested look on his face. 

"You will take the woman's step," He said as he offers his hands kaya tinignan ko siya bago ang kamay niya na nakalahad, "Who said that you can decide it by yourself?" I said as I looked at him with a boring look.

He smirks as he looked at me, "You don't have any choice, do you?" He said confidently as if he was saying that he is a Prince and I am just a knight without any name in the kingdom so basically wala akong magagawa kundi sumunod na lang.

"No," I answered as I hold his hand without a choice as he smiled since he wins. 

"Good," He said as we both started to dance, at mabuti nalang ay alam kong pareho ang steps ng pangbabae at panglalaki.

He looks serious when I looked at him in the face, wala na ang cute na Hanz since he looks mature now than before. Bigla siyang napatingin sa akin at kumunot ang kaniyang noo, "Don't tell me you fall for me too?" He said kaya naasar naman ako sa sinabi niya.

"No, don't be so full of yourself, Your Highness," Ani ko habang nakangiti sa kaniya kahit na gusto ko siyang sipain.

"I am not since I am just telling the truth," He said so casually while looking at me as if he was examining me. I forgot to tell you that he was taller than me by the way so medyo nakayuko siyang nakatingin sa akin.

"Really? when I thought that Prince Renz is more handsome than you," I said to tease him but I didn't expect his reaction since he just smiles as he tells me, "Of course, he is," kaya napanganga ako dahil inaasahan kong sasabihin niyang mas gwapo siya pero hindi.

"I, Is that so?" I said as I looked away as I laughed a little since I feel awkward with his response.

"I was wondering, are you really a knight?" Ani niya habang nakatingin sa akin as he holds my hand firmly as if he was curious about my physique. "Yes. Of course, I am, Your Highness," I said confidently.

"Really? why do you have a woman's physique or ... perhaps you are a woman yourself? Hm," He said kaya biglang nagtayuan ang balahibo ko dahil sa sinabi niya since he said it so confidently kaya parang binuhusan ako ng tubig habang nakatingin sa kaniya. 

But, I didn't let him notice that I was surprised by what he said, "I get those comments about me but I am not a woman, Your Highness," I said confidently as I looked at him in the eyes. 

He looked at me straight in the eyes too, "Really?" ani niya na hindi pa rin naniniwala dahil sa tingin niyang hindi siya makukuntento ng walang ebidensiya kaya hinawakan ko ang kaniyang kamay at ipinahawak sa dibdib ko since I used magic. 

He was surprised when I looked at him habang nakatingin sa kamay niyang nakalapat sa dibdib ko since wala siyang makapa so he let go of it, "How is that, Your Highness?" I said as I smirk at him this time.

He laughed a little as he brushes off his hair backward, "I really can't believe that you have a body like that," he said. Why does he look so gorgeous even if he laughs like that like a psycho?

"I will take that as a compliment, your Highness," I said as the music is over it means the dance also. Mabuti nalang at natapos na dahil gusto ko na ding umalis dito. 

"Thank you for the dance, Your Highness. If you excuse me," I said as I leave him without waiting for his answer and look for Ian or Lady Miary in the crowd.

Prince Hanz's Pov:

"Thank you for the dance, Your Highness. If you excuse me," He said and immediately left me without waiting for my response when I was about to answer him 'thank you'. Maybe he was annoyed by the way I acted to him even though I don't want to since I don't want him to get attached to me because the Empress, my mother, wants me to be friends with him.

I looked at my hands that he used to his chest since I didn't expect him to do that just to prove that he is a man when I only do that to piss him off. I smiled as I looked at the way he goes to. However, I was curious about him since I feel like something is off from him. Well, I can meet him anyway since Sheenova will invite him occasionally from now on.

"Let's meet again, Avy," I said as I clench my fists as I leave the hall since the event is over.

I saw Ian on the balcony and Lady Miary kaya lumapit ako sa kanila, "Lady Miary! Ian!" I said,

"Avy, who is your last partner?" She asked me with a curious face on her face when she faced me so excited kaya lumayo ako sa kaniya. "It's a secret," I said kaya tinignan niya ako ng nagtatampong tingin. 

"So boring," She said as she frowned at me.

"So, how about you?" I said as I change the topic to her kaya tinignan niya ako with a bored look as if she was disappointed.

"Well, my last partner is Ian," She said with low energy na parang hindi siya natutuwa kaya pala magkasama sila.

"I see," I said kaya tinignan niya ako ng masama as if she was not happy about being Ian's last dance when she is lucky to be with him since madaming babae ang gustong kasayaw siya pero si Ian ay laging tumatanggi at nirarason ang trabaho niya.

"He's boring," She said,

"And you are so loud, Lady Collins," Ian said, kaya napatingin kami sa kaniya dahil akala namin wala siyang balak magsalita since he was just looking at us.
