Chapter 106: Ghost?!

"Nothing important since he just gives me my present,"

I answered and I feel like he is interrogating me but I just answered him.

"Is that so?"

"Yes,"

"Then, why did his aide said the two of you talk about some matters?"

He said with a serious tone of voice while looking at me.

"That... I don't know since he just gave me his gift--- also it's not your business anyway so why are you so eager to know?!"

I asked him since he seems to want to know what we do.

I looked at him and he looked away as he closes his mouth and remains silent.

"If there is nothing more to talk with then I will take a rest in my room,"

I didn't look back no'ng umalis ako doon sa common room at hindi ko alam kung nakasunod si Ash since wala naman akong maramdaman na nakasunod pero mabuti nalang kung hindi dahil alam kong hindi maganda ang mood niya.

I open the door of my room as I immediately lay down on my bed na nakadapa habang dinadama ang malambot na kutson ng kama ko.

I feel someone is caressing my hair kaya dahan dahan kung iminulat ang mga mata ko.

"Ian?"

I uttered as I brush off my eyes when I saw Ian na nakaupo malapit sa kama ko.

"Did I wake you up? Sorry if I wake yo--"

"It's okay. Why are you here?"

I stopped him as I looked at his usual expression while looking at me.

"I just stopped by and visited you since you didn't come for the dinner, and I was planning to go home after I visit you,"

He said and I feel like he is being not himself while saying that to me kahit na ngumingiti siya habang nakatingin sa akin.

"Did something happened?"

He looked at me with a surprising look pero agad din na bumalik sa usual na expression niya bago ako sinagot.

"Nothing happened,"

He said while smiling but I think there is something going on that I don't know.

"... I see,"

I smiled at him kaya napangiti din siya habang hawak ang ulo ko bago siya tumayo.

"?"

Napabitaw ako sa kaniyang damit that I unconsciously grabbed when he stood up and ready to go kaya napatingin siya sa akin na nagtataka.

"I'll be back. Go sleep more since you are still a patient, okay?"

I nod as I smiled at him as he helped me lay down on my bed since nakaupo ako sa kama ko dahil sa pagkakahablot ko sa kaniya ng hindi ko namamalayan.

"I have to go, Avy. Good Night,"

"Can't you just stay?"

I asked Ian who is about to open the door but he stopped as he looks back at me.

"I'd love to but I have things to do,"

Ah, yeah. 

He is a duke's son so he has some work to do as the only heir of the Vego.
