Chapter Sixty-Eight: Royal Library (2)

"That's why I am asking you if it is really okay to go back a few times," He said to me,

"*sighed* Never mind," I said since nangyari na at hindi na maibabalik pa.

"So, what are you looking for?" He asked me,

"... fine. Just promise me that you will tell me right away if you found it, okay?" I said since I am not sure if it is okay for him to read it.

"Alright," He answered,

" I am looking for ---" I said at nagsimula na kaming naghanap. I go left side while I go right side of the library para mabilis ang paghahanap namin.

Mahigit tatlong oras na din kaming naghahanap at naisipan ko munang magpahinga so I called him, "Your Highness, let's take a break," It seems that he is busy looking for it for him not to notice me so I approached him.

"Your Highness, let's take a break," Pag-uulit kong sabi no'ng makalapit ako sa kaniya. He was surprised when I touched him on the shoulders as he looked at me. 

"You scared me, Avy," He said no'ng makaharap sa akin, "I'm sorry, Your Highness. Let's take a break for a bit," I said to him as I invite him to the table since Kerz and Dravis brought us some snacks a while ago pero agad din silang umalis. 

"It's okay but when will we find the book if it's just the two of us? We should call them to help," He said as he drinks the tea that I poured for him. 

"It's a no, Your Highness," I said as I looked at him seriously, "Malabong mahahanap natin iyon when we haven't checked half of the shelves in here," He said with a concerned expression on his face.

"Yes, I know but I will look for it even if I am alone until this evening," I said, 'so you can leave if you want,' I added as I looked at him mockingly. He smiled at me kaya nawala ang nakakalokong ngiti ko dahil hindi ko inaasahan ang magiging reaksiyon niya when I expected him to be annoyed or pissed off but he finds it amusing.

He laughed, "Avy, I don't go back on my word so I am going to help you," He said as he looked at me with his eyes becomes sharp as if he was saying that don't underestimate me-look.

I smirked, " Of course, you don't, Your Highness," I said, "... why do you want to look for this book so badly?" He asked me with curiosity.

"Like what I've answered you, Your Highness. That book will help me and I will gain more knowledge," I said which is half true since it will help me to have a peaceful life even though I am not sure if the Empress is also behind the accident will occur for a few days from now.

"Really? How so?" He asked me as if he is like interrogating me in a friendly way since I am not in a room in the basement or handcuffs, "well, that's that," I said since wala akong masabi o maisasagot sa kaniya.

"What?" He asked me even more and he looked at me intently kaya hindi ako makatingin sa kaniya ng deritso.

He is still looking at me while waiting for me to answer him, "Your Highness, I should not waste my time sitting here," I said as I stood up and go back where I stopped looking for at hindi na hinintay na sumagot siya dahil umalis ako agad.

I didn't look back since I feel like something is going to stab me, also I feel like he is staring at me with a dark aura with a smiling face which is really creepy. Nagpatuloy ako sa paghahanap at tinitignan ng mabuti ang mga libro since it may appear with brightness like what I've first seen in the old library back then so I have to be attentive while looking for it.

"... where the hell is that book? I need to get a hold of you," I murmured while looking at the two shelves side by side. Halos pare-pareho pa mandin ang kulay ng cover ng mga libro na andito which is harder to look for the book since nag-iiba din ito ng kulay kaya kailangan ko itong basahin ang mga titles.
