"Avy, what are you reading?" He said as he looked at the book I am reading with a frowning expression on his face as if he is trying to recognize the book.
"Oh, this? I am reading a useful book," I said since I will not do the same mistake to tell him that it is a romance book dahil ayokong mapahiya muli.
"Useful book? A title-less book?" He asked with confusing looks,
"Yes. This book is a little bit special so you can't see the title," I said,
"What book it is?" He asked,
"It is just a magical book," I said, "Oh, I see," He said,
After that we remain silent again, and since I am focused on reading. I don't know what he is doing but I can tell that he is watching me. I continued to what I am reading wherein the group of people will ambush the person when she/he is alone within the palace specifically after the royal meeting of officials which is two days from now on, and also they have been starting setting up some sleeping bombs and explosive bombs.
"F*ck... I don't have much time to dispose of it before the day," I unconsciously said it, "Is there a problem, Avy?" Kerz said as he looked at me with a worrying expression on his face.
I smiled at him since I forgot that I was with him, "Nothing," I said,
He seems not satisfied with my answer dahil tinignan niya ako na para bang binabasa ang ang nasa isip ko habang nakakunot ang kaniyang noo, "Nothing? but what do you mean 'I don't have much time to dispose of it before the day'?" He asked me, napamura nalang ako dahil napalakas pala ang pagkakasabi ko kaya ngumiti lang ako.
"It's nothing, really," I said, "Really?"
"Yes, since I am talking about the character in the story," I said habang pinapakita ang libro sa kaniyang na binabasa ko, "Oh? I see. I thought you mean something else since you're so serious when you said it as if you are the one that is in trouble," He said innocently rather than casually so I don't know if he is pretending or not.
"Is that so? I was really enjoying this book," I said, "Is that really good?" He asked,
"Yes," I said, at doon ko namalayan na magical book pala ang sinabi ko sa kaniya tapos may character kaya bigla akong kinabahan at pasimpleng tignan siya while he is looking outside the window. I don't know if he notices it since he seems to enjoy looking outside and didn't ask me that I said it was a magical book so I am hoping that he really did not notice it.
Nagulat naman ako no'ng bigla siyang lumingon sa akin na parang nagslow motion kaya medyo natigilan siya pero agad din siyang ngumiti, "Is there something? or may dumi ba sa mukha ko?" He asked me so I shake my head answering that he doesn't have anything on his face.
'Does he really not notice it?' I murmured while hiding my half face so he only sees my upper face.
"?" He looked at me with a questioning expression on his face since I am still looking at him.
~~ Kerz's thoughts: He was puzzled why Avy is looking at him while frowning and as if he is talking about something but he can't understand it. Avy's lower face is covered by the book he is reading a while ago but then Kerz felt someone is staring at him so he turns to Avy's way to find out if Avy is staring at him. It turns out that Avy is staring at him that catches him off guard since he didn't expect that Avy is staring at him.~~
"Let's go back," I said as I close the book and stood up since he seems didn't notice it so it is better to go back para hindi niya maalala ang sinabi ko. Hindi ko na siya nilingon pero rinig ko ang foot steps niya na nakasunod sa akin.
