Chapter 134: The Aftermath

"Avy!"

Ian called her as he immediately held her in his arms and notices the guy's body beside her slowly vanishing. He looks around and is in defensive mode since he didn't see the black thing around.

"Ian, let me check her first so be cautious since we don't know if the enemy is just hiding,"

Hanz immediately as he checks on Avy's condition as Ian lets Hanz take her in his lap as he looks around and prepared to fight and defend if ever someone attacks from shadow.

"Ian, she's just unconscious which is different from the High Priests description about her,"

Hanz said with a sigh of relief that Avy's condition is not that serious when someone moves from the rubbish near them so Ian immediately prepared to attack after seeing who it is.

"High Priest?"

Sabay na banggit nila Ian at Hanz no'ng makita nila si Matthew na bumangon dahil sa pagkakatumba, and Lilith's sleeping on him when she pulls him behind her.

"Is she okay?"

Agad na lumapit si Matthew kay Avy at agad na chineck ang kalagayan niya. He almost cried when he check her condition since she is just unconscious even though he heard Hanz but he needs to check it for himself, unlike her condition that was on the verge of death. 

"Avy, you're okay,"

He said as he hugged her as Hanz lets him hug Avy while Ian frowned while looking at him since Ian didn't get to hug her.

"By the way, High Priest where is the black thing?"

Ian asked the High Priest while he is still in a fight mode as he looks around.

"The First Priestess defeated him, which was also her lover,"

Matthew said as he carried Avy bago siya tumayo since tapos na ang laban.

"What? What do you mean?"

Napatingin si Ian at Hanz sa kaniya dahil sa naging tugon niya.

"The First Priestess possessed Avy's body after she calls the name of the black thing who transform into his human form before I fall asleep by her, and I only heard a few conversations between them and found out that they are lovers which cause of all this because of his love for her. Anyways, the fight is over so we need to go to a safe place,"

Mabilisang sabi ni Matthew since they need to get out of their bago pa bumagsak ang katabing building kung nasaan sila dahil sa laban kanina.

"..."

Ian and Hanz remain silent after his explanation as they silently follow Matthew who is carrying Avy when Avy slowly moves one of her fingers kasabay nang paggalaw ng kaniyang ulo and slowly opens her eyes.

"Avy,"

I slowly opens my eyes kahit medyo blurred pero sinubukan kong ibukas and I saw Matthew with teary eyes while smiling at me which is a rare sight of him.

"High Priest, are you crying? That is not really you *laughs* I will make sure to tell Luke about this,"

I said while looking at his face when I thought he will scold me or something but he just hugged me so tightly.

"I c-can't b-br-eath,"

I said when someone separate us from his hug kaya naman napatingin ako kung sino iyon and I was stunned since I saw Ian kaya naman tinignan ko si Matthew bago ko pinisil ang pisngi ko kung nananaginip lang ako since Ian and the High Priest didn't know each other personally.
