Eijirou groaned softly as light flooded his vision. "Am I dead....?" he mumbled.

He heard a snort of laughter and felt someone kiss his hand. "No, idiot. Just blink a few times. You've been asleep for a while."

He did as he was told and his vision focused on Katsuki sitting next to the bed. "Lemon Bear..."

Katsuki leaned over, one hand pressed tightly to his stomach while the other ran through Eijirou's hair. He gently kissed his forehead before leaning back. Eijirou had a lazy smile on his face as he reached out a hand to rub Katsuki's baby bump. "I'm coming home today..." he said, the smile still on his face.

Katsuki frowned, his eyes filling with tears. He shook his head. "No... You're not.."

"Huh? But.. But it's Sunday..?"

"What's the last thing you remember, Eijirou?" he sighed.

Eijirou narrowed his eyes in thought before they widened to saucers. He looked up at Katsuki in realization, his hands squeezing into fists. "I... I was coughing up blood... I thought that was a dream..."

"It wasn't. You choked on blood and passed out.. Your room neighbor called the nurses for you... I came with the girls to pick you up, but the nurse at the front desk told me you were in surgery... I.. I passed out when she said that.. Seems kinda stupid looking back on it."

"I had surgery? Wait- no- first, are you okay? Did you hurt yourself fainting?"

"No, one of my students happened to be here and caught me before I fell. I gave the girls a shock though.. And the babies are fine too," he said.

"Good... Now- I had surgery?"

"Yeah. They had to remove some blood and mucus and.. Well apparently some lung tissue that had come free. You had a lot of problems that they didn't fucking see and it pisses me off. Like- what if they had let you home yesterday instead of today and I didn't wake up to the sound of you coughing and you died?!" Katsuki rambled.

"Well let's just be glad that didn't happen... Do they know why that happened to my lungs?" he asked, gently patting Katsuki's bump to calm him.

He took a deep breath. "A quirk. You were hit with it during the battle. Apparently it had been eroding your lungs from the inside out and they started filling up with blood. They filled to a point where your body had to expel it and it did that by you coughing but... but then there was just so much that you suffocated.."

"Damn... sounds... like you... six years ago in the woods... all the blood.."

"Don't think about that, damnit. Just... Just fucking get better. I want you to come home."

"I'll try, honey. I really want to come home too. I've been here for nearly a month," Eijirou sighed, "Wait- why're you here alone? Where are the girls?"

"Sleeping at my parents' house. Eiji, it's 11:30 pm... Your surgery ended at noon. I've been here since around one... The girls were too but my parents picked them up before dinner," he said, leaning back in his chair.

"Have you eaten?"

"Uh..." Katsuki looked down at his lap. He'd pretty much sat there the whole afternoon. "No... Not since I had lunch with Mina. Which was weird as hell because- oh shit you don't know- Mina's pregnant. So yeah- we were both having pregnancy cravings and so it was a really weird lunch."

"She's pregnant?! That's-" he stopped to cough violently, "great-"

"Careful-! Dumbass-" Katsuki said, moving him to a sitting position.
