Chapter 42

A week later

Katsuki sighed and laid his head down on the toilet seat. He realized that was gross and unsanitary, but honestly, he couldn't care less. He was so tired from merely existing. He wasn't able to do anything over the two weeks he'd been in captivity that would cause him to be so tired. Other than, of course, grow another fucking human in his body. That tended to be slightly tiring.

He felt something bump into his leg and looked down. Miki sat there, obviously, and smiled at him, looking like a replica of Eijirou. Katsuki reached down and ruffled her hair with a soft, tired smile on his face. "Hey there, kiddo... What's up?"

"Dada," she giggled. She lifted her arms and made grabby hands at him.

"Oh, do you want an up-up, baby girl?" Katsuki asked, turning so he could better look at the girl.

"Up-up!" she repeated.

Katsuki stared at her for a few seconds before laughing. "Does that count as your first word?" He picked her up and perched her on his hip. Slowly, and slightly wobbly, he stood up. He started walking around the room, trying to think of something to entertain Miki. "Do you wanna hear a story, Miki?" She giggled in response and leaned her head on his shoulder. Katsuki's heart clenched at that.

"Well.. A long time ago, when your Papa and I were still in highschool and your sisters weren't even an idea yet, we talked about our future together. We loved each other a lot, obviously, so we knew that there was a high possibility that we'd stay together forever. Things didn't really work out as planned, but that's okay. We were gonna move in together in an apartment after highschool. We thought we'd start an agency together a few years after we started our careers. We were gonna get married a few years after that. Maybe adopt some kids a few years after we got married. It was pretty roughly planned out that we'd wait a year before doing another big change in our life. Then your sisters came along and that whole plan was thrown out the window. I decided pretty soon after having Sachiko and Nozomi that if it was possible for me to have more mini Eijirou's, I would make that my life goal. I kind of did, didn't I? There sure are a lot of you. And there would be more if... Never mind that. Your Papa doesn't even know that there's a sixth one of you coming along. He's gonna be pretty stoked when he finds out, right? If he finds out..." Katsuki sighed and shook his head, "Daddy's just being an idiot. Of course he'll find out. We'll get out of this."

Eijirou sighed and laid his head down on his desk. He knew he should be doing paperwork, but he didn't have it in him. He was close to the end of his shift anyway, so he would just push it to the next day.

"Hey, Ei, what do you want for dinner? Mina wants some teriyaki steak, so we're thinking about grabbing that later," Hands said from next to his desk.

Eijirou sighed a second time and lifted his head to look at Hanta. "I'm not really hungry. I'll just eat parts of what other people get," he said.

Hanta frowned. "You sure?" he asked. Eijirou nodded. "Okay."

Eijirou propped his chin up on his hand. "I feel like we've outstayed our welcome. It's been a few weeks, we should probably head home this weekend."

"No, dude, it's fine. We know how you feel about going back to that house. Denki, Mina, and I have talked about it. We're fine with you staying as long as you need to."

"The girls deserve to go back home. All their stuff is back there... I don't want to keep them hauled up in your house just because I'm too sensitive to go back to my own house without Katsuki," Eijirou said, shaking his head.
