I should be able to pull myself together enough to get the chapters back up to speed now. I think it's because I've been typing them up on my phone more often than my laptop, and I honestly prefer my laptop and I can focus so much better using it, so I've figured out a way to use it to write more often. Anyway, super sorry for the wait!
Chapter 38
An hour later
"Red Riot, there's a little girl standing on the edge of a bridge a few blocks away. She looks to be about six. She won't answer anyone and she won't move. We think a hero will be able to get her down, and if she jumps, you can grab her and survive the fall. We can't see her face, so all we know is that she's blond and wearing a school uniform," a policeman said over Eijirou's Walkie-Talkie.
"Alright, I'm on it," Eijirou answered. He stood and walked to Katsuki's desk quickly. "Baby, I'm being called out to-"
"What're you doing at my desk then? Scram," Katsuki said with a raised eyebrow.
Eijirou leaned down so his face was right in front of Katsuki's and put on a fake pout. "I just wanted a kiss for the road."
Katsuki snorted and put a hand on his shoulder. He pulled him in for a short kiss and patted his shoulder. "Go save lives, my big hunk of muscle."
"I'll try my best. Hopefully saving a six year old girl from jumping off a bridge," he said.
Katsuki had a frown on his face as he shoved Eijirou's shoulder. "Go! You're wasting damn precious time."
"Shit, Right," Eijirou said. He waved as he ran out of the agency. He ran as fast as he could, thinking about his own six year old daughters as he neared the bridge. He slowed to a stop when he saw the girl he was looking for standing on the bridge railing.
He had to wonder what drove her to be here. She was so young, how did she even know what suicide was? Or did she even know she could die from the fall? He didn't really know how to approach her, but it seemed he wasn't the only one. There was a small crowd around her, but they all hovered around fifteen feet away. He stepped through the crowd and approached her. He was close enough to not have to yell, but still too far to reach her.
He didn't know where to start, so he simply started with, "Hey there." He felt like he should tag on some sort of nickname like 'little girl' or 'sweetheart' but when he really thought about it, that sounded creepy. "It's dangerous-" before he could finish his sentence, she flung herself off the edge, like it was Eijirou's voice that finalized her decision.
"Shit!" he exclaimed. He ran the short few feet to the edge and flung himself off after her. He was heavier, so he fell faster and was able to wrap his arm around her middle and turn them so his back would hit the ground. She was laying on his chest.
She looked up at him while he was looking at her. Their eyes locked and a look of fear and remorse crossed Eijirou's face, though that same look had already been on the girl's face the whole time.
Tears filled his eyes as he whispered, "Sachiko..."

Katsuki was sitting at his desk, peacefully waiting for his husband to return being inevitably emotionally drained. That's what tended to happen, especially with Eijirou, when they had to deal with suicides.
He heard a kid crying at the entrance of the agency. He'd know that cry anywhere.
"Sachi?!" he yelled out, standing and walking quickly toward the noise, "Sachiko, is that you?" He neared the entrance and saw his husband holding their daughter. He looked like he didn't know what to do, something that Katsuki didn't often see from him. And he was scared and confused. "Eijirou?" he said, standing in front of him and putting a gentle hand on Sachiko's back. "Ei, why... she should be at school, why is she..."
