Chapter 44

One week later

"So... you're still feeling nauseous and stuff? Hasn't it been like.. Over a month?" Kaisha asked from his seat on the floor.

Katsuki huffed. "Yes, I am... Why does it matter to you, anyway? Don't you want me to suffer?"

"Well, yeah, but not yet. I want you to suffer on my own accord. I've grown a bit of a liking to you, ya know, Katsuki. Although my want for the end of your existence is still prevailing."

"Oh, isn't that sweet of you," Katsuki huffed sarcastically.

"Oh, shut up. Anyway, do you know why you're feeling like this? Is there anything I can do? I got you the sea bands a while ago. Haven't they done anything?"

"I do know why I'm feeling like this. But there's nothing you can do unless, of course, you fucking free me and my daughter. And yes, the sea bands helped. They made it so I'm not actively throwing up all the time but I'm still nauseous."

"So, why are you feeling like this, then, if you know?" Kaisha asked.

Katsuki furrowed his eyebrows. He wasn't sure if he should tell Kaisha. But he also wasn't sure he could keep it a secret anymore. His bump was getting more noticeable at this point, being around 19 weeks. Although, his bump was still pretty small compared to his previous pregnancies. He figured that was because he was more used to having multiples. He shook his head to clear his thoughts. "Well," he started, "I... I'm pregnant."

Kaisha stared at him, then snorted. "Don't try that shit with me!" he laughed, "You think I don't know you got your uterus removed?"

"I know it sounds batshit crazy, but I'm fucking sure of it. I'm having all the symptoms and I've done this enough to recognize it. And he's growing in there. And I can feel him kick. He's too small to see it from the outside, but I feel it," Katsuki said, putting a hand on his bump.

Kaisha narrowed his eyes. "He?"

"I have a sneaking suspicion..." Katsuki shrugged.

"Okay, so how do you figure you got pregnant, then?" he asked.

"Well, when two people love each other very much-"

"You know I didn't mean that!" Kaisha quickly cut in, blushing.

Katsuki snorted. "The quirk is weird. I think it came back after I got my uterus removed."

"Huh.... Well... This complicates things. We'll have to keep you alive till it's born... And then have you feed it till it's weaned.... We might have to keep you alive longer than I thought. That's risky, though. It gives you more time to be found or to escape. I'll have to talk with my colleagues about it. I'll go out and buy you prenatal vitamins in a few days. We want this baby healthy," Kaisha said.

Katsuki didn't really know how to respond. The things he was saying were good and bad for Katsuki. So, he walked over to Miki and said nothing.

Two weeks later

"We searched everywhere in the warehouse. Nothing. Barely a trace that they were there."

"But they were there? There was a trace?"

"Yes. But it still leads us nowhere."

"That's not true, Red. It tells us that we're searching in the right district," Tetsu told his friend.

"I guess. They could always have hideouts in multiple districts," Eijirou sighed.

"But they probably don't. It's not a big group, and they're trying to keep their outings as short as possible so they won't get caught. They wouldn't be all that spread out. We're on their tails, Eijirou. We're close."
